Tatar is certainly going to get scooped up by someone. A homecoming in DET makes a lot of sense, so does Buffalo. They desperately need veteran forwards who can help their counting stats on both sides of the ice.

So, just over 9 million in space with Bahl tendered. Is Fitz wanting to spend around 1 million on each 4th liner?

Means around 5-6 million in space (if the 1 millionish level is accurate), so there is the potential for a decent D depth signing/trade or an upgrade in goal (trading Vaneck + the added cap cost w the upgrade).

I really don't care. He's still only 23 and only had less than a 30 game sample. Unless Schmid's just great in camp I'd have no issues having another guy and sending Schmid back down. I think people are expecting too much from Schmid. He could just as easily turn into a pumpkin as keep up his play.

The issue is if Schmid comes back down to earth or someone gets injured, you’re royally f***ed. Nothing wrong with adding experienced depth.

Looking at the UFA options, I prefer what I’ve seen from Akira.

Now, signing a goalie to compete and one of Akira or him could be sent down, I would be doing (if I was roster building).
