What was the rumor? I don't remember? You would've been angrier with the rumor who Lou was gonna take if he stayed at 9 that year lol

Marino is a pretty good fit I think. It’s probably much smarter to supplement the d core with Miller-type moves than big long term commitments like Hanifin.Luke's partner is a bigger mystery to me lately, I think Nemec is gonna be so good you can pair him with anyone that is remotely decent. We might need to rip a team off like Colorado did the Islanders with Toews to pair with Makar to find Luke's stylistic partner.
Forget about the quality of player. Drafting Matteau then Domi in back to back years would have been some set of balls.Max Domi
I feel like this one is all Calgary but Timo was definitely a lot nationally too.We seem to get more detailed trade rumors under the Fitz administration than at any other time before.
I remember a lot of info coming out before and during the Kovalchuk trade but hardly ever any other time.
We heard about Meier for a long time before it happened...too much info being leaked out these days ...you know these players are hearing their names and that's messed up.
Even Shero was pretty tight lipped.I feel like this one is all Calgary but Timo was definitely a lot nationally too.
Was thinking earlier today that if Lou heard these rumors were out there he’s cutting contact with Conroy and possibly putting a horse head in his bed.
I know you're being sarcastic but I don't think Fitz had any "failed" trades.Just saw a Ty Smith goal in Rochester tonight
Another failed Fitz trade!!!!!
Remember when the 1st time you would hear about a trade was reading the newspaper in the morning? Hell, if you didn’t listen to or watch a game, you had to look for the scores in the paper the next morning or if a game was too late “after printing” some games wouldn’t even have scores. No checking your phone 2 times a minute for updates.I like when the first time you hear about a trade is when they are reading it from the paperwork at the NHL offices.

Uh oh
Most of the stuff I used to find out on 660am. I used to listen to sports on am radio all the time ... I remember listening to Mets games with a transistor radio and ear piece in class in grade school lol.Remember when the 1st time you would hear about a trade was reading the newspaper in the morning? Social media is the culpritWe seem to get more detailed trade rumors under the Fitz administration than at any other time before.

I think it's kind of funny we've had 3 different players from that 1st round play for us since then. You would've been angrier with the rumor who Lou was gonna take if he stayed at 9 that year lol
I also feel like there’s more so called insiders now
Weekes
Severelli
Elliot
Who also like to speculate for clicks
Back in the early infancy of social media you really only had
McKenzie and Dreger who really only broke stuff that was 100 percent concrete.
Dreger fell off once nonis got out of the game
Growing up the Home News was an afternoon newspaper (Star-Ledger was morning as it's now) and that was the only way to find out the all the sports scores from the West Coast the night before. Otherwise you would have to wait till the next morning, around 36 hours after the games ended.Remember when the 1st time you would hear about a trade was reading the newspaper in the morning? I remember a kid having the Star Ledger on my school bus one morning and I read a headline that stated… “Roy flips off crowd”.Growing up the Home News was an afternoon newspaper (Star-Ledger was morning as it's now) and that was the only way to find out the all the sports scores from the West Coast the night before.
