We seem to get more detailed trade rumors under the Fitz administration than at any other time before.

I remember a lot of info coming out before and during the Kovalchuk trade but hardly ever any other time.

We heard about Meier for a long time before it happened...too much info being leaked out these days ...you know these players are hearing their names and that's messed up.

Honestly with this one we really don't have many details beyond we have been talking to Calgary about Markstrom and some older reports that we are one of six teams interested in Hanifin or Tanev.

The bulk of this is largely just all of us speculating.

Its Always Sundstrom

Among the optimists.

“Hanifin just doesn’t make sense.”
No he does. The left side sucks aside from Luke. The offense is not nearly as impactful without dougie. Hanifin helps the left side and some offensive impacts with Hamilton out. Even with dougie back it’s another smooth skating dman that can move the puck to our forwards.

Some of you say we have too many puck movers, but we don’t lol. He pushes Bahl down, or gets Bahl traded and pushes siegs down, or gets him traded. Either way hanifin helps push guys down the depth chart.

Yeah, if you have Siegs on your 3rd pair you talking a top 5 defense with lots of room to grow/develop

Dicks sporting goods at Willabrook have the stadium series jerseys…. except they have Jack Hughes full name on back. Was so hyped seeing them there and then just left disappointed

The salary cap exists. Dougie almost has to go in the near future if you add a contract like that. All flexibility would be gone, so you be yelling about firing Fitz in no time if he couldn’t fill any holes because of how tight it was.

If that's the route we go, I trust Fitz will somehow make it work.

I don't know how he does, but I trust he will find a way. Man wants to win this franchise it's 4th cup

Siegs, pushes Bahl down. Luke will only get better. Having Siegs taking second pairing or shutdown and letting Luke take easier matchups to let his offense fly all while only costing 3.5 mil for the next few years, is better than having Hanifin and whatever his contract would be IMO. Especially looking ahead to Luke and Nemac contracts.

I know people get upset talking about any contract that is more than a year out, but it would really suck to have Nemac and Luke turn into absolute monsters and have to pay people to take contracts or let go of depth to accommodate right in our serious window. Right now is exactly when we should be looking ahead. "Too many good players" "good problem" all that is fun to say, but throwing away assets, to create problems, ones that won't get us a cup, and only makes us give up more assets to fix, is a dumb way to go IMO.

We have really good players locked up through their prime and for a while, we are soon to do it with a few more. Not need to rush anything, the depth and asset throwing will be a fun thing very soon.

2014's outdoor game, the Devils were ahead of the Rangers in the standings going into that game I believe and NYR used it as a launching pad for their second half run that led to a Cup Final. Hopefully we can do the same with this game, the Flyers are pain in the ass and well coached so it won't be easy
