“Okay, we’ll start with a nice urban landscape and then cut to that statue of a guy with a bayonet going through his chest”
That's a good offer depending upon where the Devils finish.Lottery protected 2025 1st
"I think he sulks a bit."
You think, LOL
Meh Schmid is hit and miss up here too. The first time he got called up he gave up like 5 goals per game and had an .833 sv%. He had a decent stretch last year, and then he was not good again this year.Schmid is weird though with being sent down. He did this last year too, was playing good up here, got sent down, was trash in Utica, came back up and was good again.
I think he sulks a bit. Bigger issue he hasn't been all that great in the NHL this year either.
Man if it's Holtz or Casey...
If it's Holtz fine, just free him - he's never gonna do shit with this coach anyway, and he does seem to be a bit of a dumbass who needs tough love.
IMO if they got to players agreed upon, one of the teams will cave and make the deal.It still sounds dead so not sure it matters anymore.

You don't get that far and just kill it. Either we or CGY will agree to get it done
^This.I'd rather wait and see how the goalies play under a sensible defensive system for a few weeks before sending a ton of assets to Calgary for an old guy and have to do this all over again in a year or two.
Early results are promising.
I don't know what adjustments they made but it looks more like they're finally dialing back the ALL-OUT OFFENSE ALL-THE-TIME "system" considerably and are taking the conservative approach, focusing more on Defending their own end with a Counter-Attack type of scheme it seems. And yeah I agree, if they're going to play like this defensively then it'd be dumb to get a goalie right now. Make a run and then re-assess in the offseason
Which is basically what 'all of us' could have told them weeks and months ago. I mean really, it shouldn't take this long to figure out with greenhorn defensemen, a revolving door at forward due to injury and shaky goalies that you needed a simplified system but stubborn Mr. Magoo wouldn't budge until this week.I don't know what adjustments they made but it looks more like they're finally dialing back the ALL-OUT OFFENSE ALL-THE-TIME "system" considerably and are taking the conservative approach, focusing more on Defending their own end with a Counter-Attack type of scheme it seems.
And will be covered in a foot of snow soon lmaoThis actually looks way better than I thought it would lol
Disagree, retention is a big thing for some teams to completely destroy deals on. Also if that was the case and Holtz was one of the players, he wouldn't have played tonight
there was a follow up tweet saying Calgary wants a 1st but they’re only being offered 2nd rounders so far. I think Holtz and Casey are safe unless Markstrom isn’t the only player coming backMan if it's Holtz or Casey...
