I'm glad the next game isn't until Tuesday.

And honestly, that's too f***in soon.

I'd be happier if the next game wasn't until October 8th or whenever the Czech opener is next year. Forgot that was against the Sabres also.
Wish they played the next 8 days in a row and forfeited all of them lol

I don’t think we need to waste any more oxygen on this board about Green. He’s cooked, it’ll all be over in 2 weeks

I think the reality of this team is somewhere in the middle. A lot did go right to win 52 games last year, but I don't think it was a fluke they were a good team. This year has just been a shit sandwich of injuries, goaltending, coaching, and some guys having bad years. As much as a lot went right last year, a lot went wrong this year.

I still think the core is fine. Most of them have been less than 100% at one point or another this season (I think Bratt is the only one whose been healthy all year). The depth needs to be improved and obviously coaching and goaltending need to be addressed. I'm not going to say it'll be easy or that they're guaranteed to be good next year, but I think they're closer than some around here think (although to be fair everybody's emotions are kind of raw right now so I get it).

I agree and I thought I could trust them to get it together. But with all that you mentioned, they couldn’t win tonight? Or in Arizona two weekends ago? How about scoring on any of the Rempe majors? The game against the Lightning at home? I have a lot of gripes lol

Now it's stat-padding time.

(at least it's looking like Bratt will score more than 73 points this year. Oh joy. )
They'll definitely stat pad Tuesday since they're playing their patsy lol. Then IF they're still in the playoff race they'll get predictably destroyed at the Garden and Rempe will take out yet another Devil

Incredibly, while I'm pissed, this doesn't even register in my top 5 of bad losses this year.

The October loss to Washington.
The November loss to Detroit.
Home loss to San Jose.
Both losses to Anaheim.
The loss to Arizona on the road.
The loss to Ottawa last week.

That's enough remembrance for tonight lol.

Yeah why can’t the season just end. This is no fun at all. Just massive disappointment. I think this one would have been easier if we hadn’t had the 2 goal lead. Having hope made it worse.

We lost to Buffalo. Frigging Buffalo. Gave up 5 straight goals to Buffalo.

They’re not even as bad as Ottawa or Arizona or San Jose or Anaheim. All of whom we’ve lost to this year. Several of them multiple times/swept by.

So long as it's not Bratt, Jack, or Nico (Timo can defend himself), I could care less....

Is Nico right, here? We’re not really that far ahead of the Sabres in the standings. Maybe we need to re-evaluate and actually take teams like this seriously.

Nico seems to be the only one saying it, which makes you wonder whats going on in that locker room
It’s a lack of leadership of accountability from the coaching staff.

To many times are players not reprimanded for bone head mistakes
