Knock on wood(lol) but if Blackwood gets a shutout I don't think @Bleedred actually knows how he should feel.

Let's not play the eat crow game here.

BAD goalies get shutouts sometimes.

As a matter of fact, BAD goalies have 20-something games of .920% (which usually comes after 9 games of .850%) and that's how you get Cory Schneider here for one more year longer than he should have been. Which is really helping us more right now than having one more year of him on our cap in dead space, but that's for a different story.

There are some goalies that will probably never, ever get a shutout in an NHL game. Like Jon Gillies, but even that can never be ruled out.

And this is not just exclusive to goalies.

Michael McLeod for all of his stupid ridiculously long goal droughts, actually has not ONE but TWO different 2 goal games in his NHL career.

Oh I know, it's fantasy dreaming. I was yelling about Sorokin during his draft year like @Guadana has been going on about signing Nikolayev. Once he came over from the K, the cat was out of the bag,
we need to yell on bloggers, than they need to yell on devils pr. I just don`t see any other way. we can yell on pr too.

On guys like Novo, Amanda, Trey, Brattpack, Devilsdaily and on others, who have some touch with the team

Would be awesome if they come out and play like that in the 3rd too. Would be the first complete game they played well the entire time.

Love hearing the Islanders fans being miserable, nice change up lol

Not trying to make you eat crow. just having fun imagining you going through your emotions if that happened.

Blackwood sucks

But we won

But...Blackwood sucks

But we won.

- Bahl looks solid
- Severson's passes, when he connects, are sublime
- Jack is getting tripled shifted? Fine by me.
- McDummy had a few really nice plays
- Bastian be bangin' but hands of stone
- D looks solid--even Smith with his inevitable penalty
- Palat, Haula just keep it rolling
- Puck is rolling for Shara, but just keep shooting young man...oh, maybe win a board battle or too before you become young Zacha

Excellent two periods.

Has there ever been a Devils forward to have two different goal droughts of at least 38 games? Cam Janssen maybe? One of the other goons?

Obviously Eric Boulton had ZERO points in 51 games, but this is exclusive to players that have actually scored goals, so he wouldn't count, David Hale wouldn't count (he eventually got 4 goals, but none in 146 games as a Devil) either.

How many players have went at least 38 games without a goal two different times as a Devil? McLeod is 4 periods away from doing that.

He did get his first shot on goal of the season last period though.

I think we've both never been sold on Blackwood so we've been looking for different options for a while now. Too bad the team wasn't.
