They scored 248 goals last season. Finishing wasn't that big of an issue for the team. You think Hughes and Bratt are going to combined shoot 3% for the rest of the season?

248 goals was about 10 goals below average...257.48 being average.

honestly it sounds like you’re running out of things to worry/complain about. i’d be more worried if we couldn’t score and couldn’t get any shots on net. the pucks will start going in.
They are 2nd in the League in Shots For and 21st in the league in Goals For....15th of 16 teams in the East in Goals For...Still with a negative differential of -1

That looks precarious to me.

Jim's right in that there's still alot to fix - but that was pretty great last night.

I think the difference is that MB29 got a look at almost every shot. @Bleedred was right to point out that:
1. The Isles are like tailor made for our speedy team.
2. When someone pointed out MB29 was tall and could see over screens and stuff- that was garbage. If there's a big hole in his game - he doesn't fight hard to look through screens and pick up the puck.

We gave up some pretty good chances but there was only like a few seconds of the complete chaos we've seen in past games where our D breaks down.

Since our last playoff appearance we are 18-120-21 in games where we get =<.900% goaltending, and 89-28-19 in games where we get >.900% goaltending.

That's 194 points in 133 games with quality goaltending, which is a 119 point pace over a full 82 game season.

.... and bingo bango that's just how things work in the real world. We can all stop worrying.
