Unless he gets torched in the AHL after he gets back there.

I have never seen a team make a shot battle look so deceptive as the Devils have over the past 2 seasons. If I didn't know any better I would've thought the Devils had maybe 6 shots the whole game up to this point.

If we don't pull out of this and miss the playoffs Ruff is a LOCK to get fired. He was gonna get fired even if we missed and were consistently 500 all year long. Making the playoffs was probably a must to keep his job, as he's on an expiring contract.

When we started 0-2 we were the worst team ever, then we won 13 straight and you couldn’t say a bad word about the team without getting Devil Doggo memed, and now we’re talking about this team being horrible again.

He may be here for the year, but I think it's possible if this isn't snapped soon and we're barely treading water in a few weeks from now, we see a 2009 Michel Therrien Pens type of firing midseason to save the season. The Rangers did the same thing that year firing Renney for Torts.

I don't think he's coming back next year though. I think playoffs were mandatory for him to get a year four. It's possible if we progressively got better as the season went on and just barely missed that he may have gotten one more year, but after Brunette was brought in that might have also not happened. Especially when teams started calling asking for permission to talk to him.

I’m not denying it but I think he can play

I'm not giving up on prospect of his age, but he has probably been scratched more games than he's dressed for and his average TOI is something like 9-10 minutes. He doesnt get good looks on 5on5 cause he cant really skate at this level, he doesnt get set up on PP either for whatever reason and then when he has a chance he has no confidence what so ever to do anything for the reasons mentioned above. He needs to go to the AHL.
