If we don't pull out of this and miss the playoffs Ruff is a LOCK to get fired. He was gonna get fired even if we missed and were consistently 500 all year long. Making the playoffs was probably a must to keep his job, as he's on an expiring contract.

Been screaming from the mountain top that bastian loss was the killer.
You could see immediately this team started on the downturn after his injury.
But as stated before, if his injury sunk this team, bigger problems are at play.

It wasn't just Bastain getting hurt. It was the fact that once he went down the Devs haven't been able to effectively roll 4 lines, which up to that point they were. Since the coaching staff doesn't seem to have any faith in Holtz, they have become a 3 and 1/2 line team.

I love Nathan Bastian as the next Devils fan but he can't be that important of a piece to your line, you should be able to fit his replacement in Utica to be able to roll 4 lines and do what he does on the powerplay. This team is acting like we're missing Matthew Tkachuk.

Holtz has not demonstrated one good play this entire year. I Can smell a bust.

Let me tell you this, Tedenby and Josefson showed more potential in their first year than this bust.

The best thing we can do is hope some GM didn’t watch this horribleness and we could trade him in a package deal or even a second rounder…
