By far the most ginormous win of the season and perhaps the past few years.

I liked this better than the oilers, avs, Canucks and blue jackets games bc we didn't cave and show panic when they started to goon it up and pound us. We were outhit 40 something to 20 something, but there wasn't a lot of alligator arms like we've seen in the past.
That is huge, that we just kept playing.

The fourth line was terrific, VV was great. Graves and Marino and Siegs were really outstanding. Everyone kept playing.

Great goal for Z.

What a terrific, truly wonderful time to be a Devil's fan. I'm positively glowing and I'm going to go shag the Dickens out of my wife. She won't know what hit her.

Literally just the goaltending and finishing has changed. The team was good (great in the Wings game) the first 2 games as well.
Yeah. No. Literally they figured out the system, cut down on mistakes, youngsters made fewer mistakes.

They had a bag skate and learned to execute.

The PP alone should tell you that this team is nothing like last year s team, which showed in the first three games.

No - they didn't skate like this. They collapsed and protected trying not to screw up and did more. Now they're skating like they don't care about their zone until the other team has the puck in it. BIG DIFFERENCE.

The Philly game was a slog but game 2 we played well just didn’t finish and couldn’t get a save.

First half Philly game was bleh. Back half was super strong. You can call it score effects if you want. They didn't finish well enough and goaltending put them in a hole that first half.

There was a main board thread not too long ago towards the end of the offseason, I can't remember if it was an actual thread dedicated to the topic or if it just came up and was discussed in length.

That they have the most bland or cheapest, most underwhelming, whatever, home locker room in the league. Now that I think about it, it might have even been about the visitors room, but I thought it was about the home locker room. The consensus was that it's just old, as it is one of the oldest in the league after MSG, which had a total renovations of its locker rooms a decade ago.

The visiting locker room in the old Northlands/Rexall/whatever in Edmonton was disgusting. Every time I saw that. There was piping everywhere and it just looked decrepit and nasty.

I'm sure it was nothing in comparison to the really old buildings like the old Boston Garden or Chicago Stadium, where Darren Pang said you'd have to shake your goalie mask before you put it on cause there were sometimes roaches in it.
Not with Arizona's new stadium lol
