at least they didn't hit a baby with a beer can.In this thread: Americans defend trash being thrown on the ice.
No, they shouldn't.I don't think anybody in here will defend the Blue Jaya fans in this situation. There is never a legit reason to throw things on the ice, especially at players or officials.
You can't run the goalie over while he is getting back into his net, what part of that play is subjective? The interference goal in the crease is a bit more nuanced, but the Leafs have been on both ends of this play several times, so perhaps we have more experience with how this play is called. I've seen goals called back for less. The first two were subjective as hell
I don't know how you could say the leafs fans are spoiled.what a spoiled freakin fanbase
I could see if you are watching live and a bit drunk and don't know the rules having gotten free tickets, you might think you were screwed over.Im not a fan of either team, but none of those goals were as black and white as you're making it seem. Pretty reasonable to be upset as a fan, not sure I've ever seen 3 goals disallowed in a single game, let alone all on one team
Whether or not it's incidental. You can't run the goalie over while he is getting back into his net, what part of that play is subjective? The hypocrisy is amazingDisappointing to see, fans have the right to be upset about what's going on in the game, and I understand what was at stake for NJD and their fans, but have some class, throwing things on the ice because of disallowed goals is a bad look.
Speaking of delay of game penalty. How about Murray nudging the net off that caused a 5 minute delay….Mind blowing that they don't know the rules
You cannot hit the goalie or make contact with the goalie in the crease and score
You cannot kick the puck into the net
Very straight forward, it's frustrating seeing your team put the puck in the net illegally 3 times in 1 night I get it. But you gotta understand the rules, those were the correct calls. There was a similar play where their goalie was knocked down in a different game earlier and their fan base lost their shit because it wasn't called. Maybe frustration caused by inconsistency over multiple games ? But these were the correct calls. They're lucky they didn't get a delay of game penalty for that.
I love how no Leaf fan mentioned Murray shouldering the net off when NJ had like 2+ min shift which could've also been a delay of game but when you have narratives to push and clickbait people about generalizations about a fanbase, you gotta do it.
Murray went down like he was just hit by Scott Stevens. Pretty nice dive there

Not the Refs fault Jersey can't play within the rulesNew Jersey got a goal?
someone should ask the refs if they're sure that's okay
First goal he was stopped from being able to move freely in his own crease which caused a goal.1st goal. Barely touched him and Murray had plenty of room to move his leg out to make the stop. Should’ve been a goal. Bad call
2nd goal. Incidental contact. Murray was out of his net and Tatar was skating around behind him and mUrray backs into him. Should’ve been a goal. Bad call.
3rd goal. Direct kicking motion.
Don't remember anytime seeing fans at the ACC/Scotiabank arena throwing full beer cans at the opposing players because the didn't like the outcome going on in the game. The hypocrisy is amazing

2nd goal, he was stopped from getting back into his net and was clearly interfered with.
3rd goal, kicking motion.
It's not the Leafs fault New Jersey can't play within the rules
