With the different timing than usually for the development camp, it is the first time I notice that so many NCAA players will attend. It will be nice and it looks like an amazing roster.

I think you're mixing up development camp with rookie camp. Our NCAA players have always attended our development camp which usually takes place right after the draft. They cannot attend our rookie camp which occurs right before Habs training camp.

they can attend training camp as well, just need to pay for it. It almost never happens because school has started by then. The Ivy leagues are the only schools that start later so their players can attend and not miss any classes but it's rare even then to have them at camp. I can only think of it happening 1 time.

I won't defend the CHL, but ncaa basketball players have told stories of having only a slice of bread to eat before a game.

CHL players get paid at least. A lot of CHL orgs run at a loss too, it's not like they're hoarding billions of dollars like the NCAA teams are each year.
