Development Camp 2022 (July 10th-13th)

Not Habs' Development related, but it's the Ducks' development camp:

Some are made of sterner material than others. This young man is an inspiration to all of us.

It reminds me of the old Talmudic allegory about the man who complained about having no shoes until he met someone who had no feet.

Let's all hope this kid makes it.

Only saw the scrimmage on last day.

Best: Hutson
Liked: Mesar/Farrell/Heinenman
Not Bad but expected more from: Roy/Slafkovsky/Tuch
Disappointed: Kidney/Trudeau

One of the goalies were impressive but couldn't see who. Maybe Dichow.
This proves that this type of camp is not totally accurate. Not much contacts. 4 vs 4, 3vs 3. That's not really "hockey" yet. Let's wait for the rookie camp. Of course, the American College kids won't attend it. And it's too bad.

Kidney dissapointed? How? I saw him many very smart plays and he created chances after chances. Are you sure you are not confusing him with another player?

Dunno maybe I only saw him get bodied off puck and didn't see those plays. I expected more from Roy/Kidney personally.

They will keep Gorniak's rights another year, he's opted to return for his 5th year in the NCAA (not that it matters)

Hillis should be there, surprised he's not but he is old for it so maybe that's why.

As you said "not that it matters", but with other players in that situation (taking the fifth year) CapFriendly has their rights expiring next month.

Is there any set policy to how this rule is applied?

I haven't heard anything that says their rights will expire, perhaps capfriendly just hasn't changed it since that was what was supposed to happen, his rights would end on Aug 15th, 2022 but the NCAA changed the rules for covid to give everyone that played during covid the chance to get a 5th year in.
