There's so much talent on the ice, looks explosive in his drills, knows how to slow the defender down, knows where the puck is going to be, and has hands for days. We don't have a player like that at this camp, or any camp, I can remember. He looks like he has superstar potential. You just see it. Clear as day.
It's day 2 of a development camp! The 26th pick (Mysar) looks fantastic from clips and comments. Let's put things into context before getting sick.

Dude what do you mean "finally" - these videos have been posted here nonstop for months. How hard were you even looking?

I watched a 24 minutes video plus a few games. Saw nothing. I did my part.

All I wanted was one play. He provided it. I'm done with this issue now.

I don't hate Wright. I'm on record saying I wanted him on draft day.

That said, his play was far from persuasive. And what people see in him, I don't see it. If I'm wrong, so be it. We'll find out soon enough I have the feeling.

Im happy that your search is over after many boring minutes of your life wasted away

Well as some said, less points might not automatically mean worst player.
I think Slaf will be a very useful player. He will win us some games. But he isn't going to be THE guy for us. He will draw a lot of attention and sometimes, he'll get shut down and neutered completely. Other times, the opposition will struggle to contain him. Matchups will be important. I think he will have points in the 40s and 50s most years.

I think Wright's best offensive production will be points in the 70s while playing a strong 2-way game.

As excited as I am about Slafkovsky and the size, power, and skill he could bring to our lineup, it's hard for me to put aside that I still think Wright will be the better player overall. I feel like we "bought high" on Slafkovsky. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

It seems to me that many of the people who had misgivings about the idea of selecting Wright because of his lack of production, have also been finding ways to "forgive" Slafkovsky's poor production. Yes, they are playing in different leagues and in different roles, but I feel like Slafkovsky's production was as concerning as Wright's, if not more concerning.

In any case, it'll be fun to watch how these players develop, and it'll tell me something about how poorly I scout hockey players.

I was on record asking people if Slaf could fake left. I'm still not sure he does it (fake left). If he always does the same move, he'll get killed in the NHL.

I had Slaf 3rd....and I'm expecting more from Slaf. To me, I don't see why he couldn't get to where Jason Robertson, Timo Meier, or Roope Hintz are right now. But all those guys are today where they are at 22, 23, or even 25 in Hintz case...hopefully it won't be that long.

I'M expecting Wright to get 75-80 points. While I'M expecting Slaf to easily hit 65. But hey, it's easy for me to say this now. I guess we will see. But if Slaf only get 40 points, it's a huge bust.

It's always hard to tell. Many people in 2003 would claim that Shea Weber was a shutdown defenseman and Patrice Bergeron a 3rd line center at best. It's hard to project on how players will evolve and develop over the years.
True enough. But its more likely that a guy who has abilities that give a chance to achieve that higher ceiling actually realizes that potential, than a guy with a bottom 6 skill set. But you have those outliers for sure, like Gallagher, limited skills , but his heart and drive take him to another level.

With the Bobrov interview and what I'm seeing from these drills... It feels like management has a vision for what type of identity they wants for nos Glorieux. This is exciting.

Gretzky had a 10 foot Untouchable zone enforced by Giants like Smenko etc The odd time he got hit he cried like a frikkin baby

Gretzky had a 10 foot untouchable zone because players knew if they pressured that zone they would look bad. Everytime a guy tried to pressure him behind the net a scoring chance would happen for one of his teammate.

I've never seen Mtl picking so often in the first 3 rounds as they did since 2017. With higher picks too. That's the difference.
It's not just the numbers in my view . You can pick 15 guys and if the skill set is low, you aren't going to succeed.

So you had Slaf around 15-25 in the first round ?
