DeBrincat has really disappeared over the past 2 weeks. Hoping he can get going again. We need him to get hot again with some tough games coming up in late November. Leafs, Devils, Bruins, Wild, Rangers, Stars, Hurricanes, and Devils again, all between November 17 and Christmas.
1A and no goals in the last 5 games. Wings lost 3 of those games.

NHL scoring is streaky even for the best players. The 2nd and 3rd line need to contribute as well. Getting Fabbri back helps.

I don't think anyone expected DBC to keep scoring at an over a goal per game pace. The good news for us is he's been getting good looks while cold. Some decent shots and scoring chances. A few posts as well. Overall, still looking solid for the year. We really need him to get hot again in this next 10 game stretch for sure.

Our next 10 games:

@ NYR
MTL
CBJ
OTT
TOR
NJD
@ BOS
MIN
@ NYR
CHI

The wings absolutely need 6 wins against this group and DBC needs to start scoring more. The good news is that 5 of these teams have shit defense and 7 home games. That should help with DBC scoring.

it's kinda amusing how DeBrincat hasn't scored any goals in 5 games and is still tied for 2nd in the league in goals even though the seasons only 12 games old

shows how many he scored the first 7 I guess

Well, the team is 9th place in the conference now in pt %.

They're still asleep during the first 2 periods in road games. I don't understand why they can't hire a consultant to review travel routines. This team is consistently one of the worst road teams in the league year after year. the first 2 road games gave me some hope, but the last 2 not so much. Can't expect to come from behind and win by playing only the third period every road game.

On paper we should win like 3 or 4 of those. Getting 5 is fine, 6 is great.

I don't know. This team has beaten good teams when they actually play a full 60 minute game. It's the shitshows like the games against Florida, NYR and Winnipeg where the team only decides to play hockey for 20 minutes that they look like a loss. If Detroit plays a full 60 minute game then they're going to win more than they lose. So hopefully the NYR loss is a wakeup call to some of the team.

Sure, but from their perspective they should beat Detroit more often than not if THEY play the full 60.

Are the sweden games considered home?

I would say against OTT it is, but against TOR I don't think so.

Pittsburgh and Washington should start rebuilding. If we pick from them Wilson and Malkin
Cat- Larkin - Wilson
Camphor - Malkin - Raymond
Team becomes much bigger with a lot of playoffs experience

And that's where I disagree. Maybe I'm a bit too optimistic, but I think in a battle where both teams are playing their games the full 60 I still think Detroit should come out on top more than not. The biggest thing for this team is consistency.

Look at the losses and OTLs Detroit has so far;

NJD - played well, lost by a goal in an exciting game.
SEA - played well, lost in OT in an exciting game that was f***ed by the refs.

No shame in losing this way. I didn't feel bad about the team after these losses.

@ BOS - played like shit
WPG - played like shit
FLA - played mostly like shit
@ NYR - played like shit

In each of those 4 games the team just did not show up. These were shameful, inexcusable efforts by the team. Sluggish skating. No physicality. Weak forecheck. Sloppy defense. Sloppy goaltending. Hell, a 75% effort against NYR and WPG probably gets a point out of each game. But total they were both a total no-show.

it's probably a lot easier to look good when you're down by 5 goals and the other team is looking at the game as already won

Steve has had five drafts with Detroit since he was hired and only two of his draft picks play for the team.
Idk if this part bothers me or the fact that he's not really gone out and gotten a player he likes outside of DeBrincat and I think we can all agree that DeBrincat might not even be here if he actually didn't semi-force his way on the team.

Lotta drafting and bringing in B-level talent and veteran place holders.

Lindholms there, and Idk the price but I do know if Wings are trying to be a playoff team, they need another dude just exactly like him.

Maybe a lot of teams are like this but especially the Wings... IF Larkin gets hurt for any extended time... They're picking in the top 10 again!

Think it is time for Robby Fabbri to hang it up. Always hurt, plays 1 game, gets hurt, plays 1 game gets hurt. I like him, but seems like playing regularly in the NHL is just not in the cards.

To be fair, he wasn't playing for a month or so, played one game and they're just being cautious. I'm not sure he was hurt again.

My summer plan.

Time is now.

Lalonde said on pre-game presser, that they just keep Fabbri out as pre-cautionary move, because don't want him to play instantly two games in-a-row.

Ted won't trade a fan favorite. He's gonna squeeze every dollar out of Ovechkin and Wilson, they're making him money even though the team isn't good.

Fester!!! Change the lines! Change the damn lines!

You're benching Raz? He just had 2 good games after a slow start.

It is wild to me that a month into the season, ESPN has the Wings ranked 11th in the power rankings. I thought we'd be bottom ten at this point.
