yes, and he got suspended AGAIN after leaving Toronto, that is an action to say he is a liability

I am happy he won, but it seemed more of a poke at media/fans than Dubas
Mathews got suspended we better trade him..had we had someone to take care of business Kadri would not have had to do it himself Dubas failed Kadri and the team

It's just another excuse for an incompetent GM .

Who than hell would rather make a bad trade than not to make a trade at all ? It's truly shocking the lengths some will go to defend Dubas .

Say Barrie has term and we're rolling him out on D instead of Holl I think it would have been pretty close to being a good trade.

The biggest issue I have with it is that Barrie was probably here for only a year no matter what. Other wise at least it was something to change stuff up a little. Unlike our current way of operating

Kadri was suspended last year, remember. So I'm sure heading into this post-season there was a lot of chatter out there since that was his 3rd playoff suspension in 4 years.

Proved those doubters wrong for sure.

Then again .. if he were a Leaf, I bet you he would have gotten some games for that contact with Binnington in round 2.
Only Kadri really knows what he meant, but at the end of the day you know how half the people will take it. Regardless.
From Zamboni driver to Kadri winning the Cup (and everything in between) the Leafs just make a great punchline.

Yeah that response got me to be fair. I'd prefer the manager to move someone or something for anyone or anything at all, rather than not doing that thing.

haha I mean our best player won the Hart, and Lindsay, and even at the end of the awards show, they took a shot at the leafs lol

There's no probably about it. No reason for the word probably in that sentence. Barrie was here for only one year no matter what.

say Barrie was on a cheap cheap deal with term and could actually could play D as well as not being soft and say Kerfoot was actually good at playing center we would have won that deal

unfortunately Barrie is soft and and crap in his own end and Kerfoot can't play C very well and is a mediocre winger so Dubas ended up getting bent on that trade

maybe we can trade Mathews for crap this summer , to you know "change stuff up a little''

I mean I wish he would come back even for summer skates to show off how to hit a shinpad every time he fires it from the point... lmao

I can at least see the logic to the trade that's what I'm saying it would be like trading willy for hellybuck or something like that.

On paper it at least is something that should help.

Unfortunately in this instance dubas got two somethings that were below average including one on what was basically Nazs cap hit.

In theory trading naz was a good idea. On paper we got an ass return for it with the main piece having no term

there was zero logic in trade at that time , we didn't need a soft offensive D nor a c/w tweener

I think kadri was talking about the media. After last year avalanche fans wanted to trade him because he was a liability. 3 suspensions in 4 years in the playoffs isn’t a crazy thing to say he’s a liability.

I’m happy for Kadri to win. Love his passion.

We needed to get tougher and better defensively, and the opposite happened. Quite an accomplishment in truth.
Literally nobody thought what we needed was an offensive D rover, painfully soft and a complete defensive liability. People could argue the logic of trading Naz because we were deep at Center, but that asset for what we received back was a complete head scratcher.
