We scored in the top 1 percentile for handshake firmness though.

Thinking this team can't EVER win even one round is way over the top. Play like we did against TB and we beat most teams and had the refs done a better job, we would have beaten TB as well.
But we don't/can't though. We played to a level nearly close enough to beat Tampa. Year before, we played to a level nearly close enough to beat Montreal. Year before, we played to a level nearly close enough to beat Columbus. Year before, we played to a level nearly close enough to beat Boston. Year before, we played to a level nearly close enough to beat Boston.

Insert any team you wish. The Leafs will play to a level nearly close enough to beat inserted team.

and how sad is it that our goal is winning 1 rd

I find it funny how a month after Keefe's handshake presser talked about gaining respect from the league, the NHL awards host takes a shot at the Leafs as their top player is leaving with the MVP award. Don't see much respect there.

Leafs have been a punchline in the league for awhile now, and Dubas sits dead centre in the fire. Anyone who's patting Dubas on the back for this shit needs a timeout.

Unfortunately they just keep finding new ways to lose

That's the past, doesn't mean it will be the future.

Great line.

Imagine telling your boss that after failing 6 straight performance reviews.

Yeah these year-by-year results you're bringing to the discussion are great and all, but it's all in the past man!!!!

Dubas has passed his performance reviews. His boss continues to bring him back.

Just to be clear, you believe that it's accurate to say that this team can't win a round? That next season, our chances of winning a round are zero?

Sure but the same could be said of over half of the league as well.

That's a very low bar.
Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by "sure" in this case. Do you believe they can win a round next season, or it's not possible for them to win a round?

Kyle is like a mutual fund portfolio manager. Telling people to think of the long game and not worry about results. Just long enough for him to squirrel away a good amount of money before people start catching on.

"So let me guess this straight, when a cameras around I just scribble notes and people will think I know what I'm doing?"

That is different than he not passing his performance reviews. Anyway, do you think anyone will ever "catch on" to your analogy?

Not really how a mutual fund works. Besides ETFs are were we make the real money...

I should stop. I don’t want to make Dubas feel threatened by Spezz and have Dubas become spiteful / gatekeeper
