Only one game but he was the best winger I’ve seen on the Habs this year that’s not named Caufield or Anderson, yeah that’s not a high set bar but if he can play like that even remotely consistently this is a massive steal for someone who looked like our worst winger most of the season

Lets be honest, Caufield was gonna be good anyway. All MSL did is trust him and give him opportunity.
Oh, one can be good and not play well... not all players with skills use them in a smart way.

I think MSL help guys growing their game smart and consistency. There are tricks and habits that make you succesful, kids may not know them yet but they can be learned. Seeing a Perry play at 35-37 kinda proves how small details properly used can make you quite effective even when slowing down.

what's nice is his speed is good for pressuring and wearing down the opponent's D not just breakaways. MSL should show him how to use his raw skills to get more results. Excited to see where he could go with the right linemates. If he becomes a PP guy for that would be heaven. We need someone to be a shooting threat that's a lefty (that isn't hoffman)

I didn't see him play SJ. Hoping he is a late bloomer and could be our Tage Thompson?

Was very involved last night. MA Godin compared him to Benoit Pouliot and I definitely see where he's coming from. Gurianov could be a 20 goal 45 pts guy. He didn't look bad in his own end too
Pouliot had a couple of good seasons but other than that was a disappointment. And he only got above 16 goals once, and his career high was 36 points. And he was done as an effective NHLer at 30.

Gurianov will already be 26 next year. Even though we got him for free, I hope he has a better career than Pouliot. Because we have better wingers in the system, hopefully, than Benoit Pouliot. Gurianov has already hit 20 goals, something Pouliot never did.

We saw a fired up Gurianov play a really good game against a really bad team.
Let's see how he plays tonight against a pretty good LA squad. I hope he continues to impress.
He kind of looked "not ready" on most passes he got. Suzuki is so slick even his teammates who aren't used to playing with him get fooled.

He looks like a burner. Can skate for sure. Give Suzuki some time to get use to him could be onto something. Hoffman killed that line in San Jose. If Anderson was on his line could be homerun. With their speed and size along with Suzuki vision.

Such a refreshing coach...so many of our previous coaches would have had all kinds of pre-conceived notions about Gurianov based simply on him being russian (looking @ you Michel Therrien) and wouldn't have given him an honest chance from the beginning.

I love Marty, I mean how can you not. The guy just wins at life. If I were a player, Marty would always be the coach you'd want to play for.
