Eh, Armia's a decent player but he isn't the reason they're winning or we're losing

True, though Armia is in a sense like Copp: underrated player that makes a lot of invisible dirty work. Getting rid of Armia surely made the Jets PK worse. But people often see only those guys when they score, like Armia now when he had 2+1. You need plenty of guys like Armia & Copp to win, esp. on playoffs.

Agreed, although those types of players are also relatively replaceable
After Armia we had Tanev sort of step in there, and then Appleton
Maybe Vesalainen will be next

Thanks for support with the Jets after Laine departure
There are more top Finns playing with the Habs now than the Jets

Jets got my sympathy in early Numminen years and also Selänne years, where as I have never felt any emotional connection to Habs at all. Not even when they had a Finnish captain. It's weird how some teams just matter you a lot, and others are like nothing to you. I mean, I can appreciate how Montreal just is so resilient and focused this playoffs, but that's purely "techincal" admiration, not emotion. If they win the Jets, I hope they go all the way and harass all the "real contenders", kinda "David vs Goliath", but then I have just no horses on the race anymore.

Ehlers and Lowry again heart and soul of the team.

Connor looks to have a hard time producing in the post season if not playing with Zoolander.

Montreals big four are rely tough to play against and I think you can't even compare them Toronto's 2020 playoff bubble blue line, maybe that could be one of the reasons PLD is having such a hard time producing.

Ya, ya, ya, I know the reason we're losing 3-0 is not that Benn is playing. But... and I understand the salary implications - but I hope to hell Maurice didn't actually think the team had a better chance to win with Benn over Heinola in the lineup- and that there was guidance from above on this matter. In which case Chevy and Maurice should both be fired:mad:

Well barring a miracle comeback this team is done.

Maurice still has no concept on how to beat a trap.

We need some changes this summer:
-We need to fix the defense (Two top 4 dmen needed)
-We need a completely revamped set of systems
Those are the exact same changes that were needed last summer... This Jets team is going nowhere as long as PoMo is HC. Two of my favorite Jets scored, so that was nice. Too bad that Armia plays in the wrong jersey.

Someone is telling someone not to play Heinola...and that's all this someone is saying about it.

How many breakaways and two-on-ones has he snuffed so far? Yesterday, Perry's goal was screened, Armia's deflected off of Morrisson's stick, and Lehkonen's was a triple rebound. You can probably fault him on the Suzuki goal, but at that point the game was already wrapped up more or less. The Jets' defence just isn't doing a good job in front of him to clear the crease.

Neither the Canadiens or Jets will be able to hold a candle against Vegas, like you say in Canada: juuuuuuuuge difference in pace in the west series final.

To late IMHO to throw in Heinola cold against the Canadiens, but what have the Jets got to loose?

Compare that to Price..... who has had a walk in the park. Long, unscreened shots into his pads, and NOBODY into the paint for deflections/rebounds. Oh yeah, 13 shots through 2 periods of a must win game.

so his .875 last night was just a mirage!? As was his .875 in game one. That’s not playoff goaltending!

The Jets should sign Joel Armia -- he's a free agent, and he's a very good hockey player.

Zero chance that happens. Chevy gifted him to Montreal. Gave him away. Re-signing him would be Chevy admitting a mistake. not going to happen.

Notice how 2 Chevy rejects are such an effective and important part of the Habs now - Armia and Chiarot.

We will see if Montreal actually keeps him. Yes he can be a useful player but he does disappear every 20 games or so. He’s also probably going to want 3.75 on the open market.

We are 99.9 percent losing the series. Burning an entire year of his elc for 11 min of heinola doesn’t make sense.

don’t be so hard on Chevy, he got a top 9 player for a top 9 and a top 6, great one for two deal, got the guy built for the playoffs and who excels in them!:sarcasm:
