I think with the season they’ve had, the hiring of Gallant, and the deadline moves, Drury has shut a Lot of people up that went off the deep end last May.

Id still prefer Gorton had the reigns here. Gallant was an easy hire, and this trade deadline only moved us closer to what Florida, Tampa, Colorado were BEFORE they made moves. I don't mind what we got but we're still way behind the top teams in the league with roster construction and we will be until Laf and Kakko take a step. I just see this as a lot of wasted picks. The Copp deal feels like a reverse Nash trade where we're acquiring someone who has just had a couple concussions and isnt signed beyond this season.

Im ok with that, i would hope that it would be for a better player than we got. I like Copp and he will fit into what Gallant wants, but i dont see him being a difference maker vs Florida, Tampa, Carolina Colorado etc especially since he just suffered a couple concussions, to be honest it feels like a reverse Rick Nash trade to me.

A diffrence makers are Breadman, Kreider, Mika, Fox, but they are not able to do everything. Good moves because they will get a proper support.

You could.

Kakko and Chytil have always worked though. Chytil gets a bad rep here for some reason, but hes worked pretty well with a few of our guys.

I'd go Copp-Chytil-Kakko (Copp can take draws)

With Motte-Goodrow-Hunt

Reaves and Rooney as the extras. Reaves has a tough time keeping up and Rooney has just flat out sucked since November.

Othmann is a beast.
Cuylle will be an NHL player.
Berard is showing lots of promise.
This year’s first will likely be a forward. If we don’t have a first, one of those two seconds will net a decent forward prospect for sure.
