Nobody likes war, especially if you don't have a choice in the matter. The Russian people don't have any say, neither does any Russian military member outside of their leaders close circle...

This is my take too. Drury balanced out the depth of this roster very well, including potentially finding a long-term C option for next year in Copp, without giving up too much. This team added a good amount of skill, speed, and tenacity this deadline, and they still have their prime blue chips if they want to make a larger trade in the offseason (or have cheap depth available on ELCs).

This is going to be a fun team to watch over the next few months.

Copp is a nice third liner and may push Goodrow to the fourth line where he belongs (albeit as an expensive fourth liner).

The search continues for a long term 2C if it's not Chytil or Strome.

Rangers can afford to be somewhat wasteful with draft picks considering they're historically one of the favored destinations for college FAs.

Im ok with that, i would hope that it would be for a better player than we got. I like Copp and he will fit into what Gallant wants, but i dont see him being a difference maker vs Florida, Tampa, Carolina Colorado etc especially since he just suffered a couple concussions, to be honest it feels like a reverse Rick Nash trade to me.

The team got a lot better and none of the top prospects were included. Team still has a stacked cupboard of prospects with Kravs, Lundkvist, Robertson, Jones, Berard, Othmann, Cuylle etc. Overall great job especially looking at what other teams gave up to get better.

Be sure to emphasize the "illegal order" part when you're standing in front of the people about to hand down your sentence for failure to obey a direct order during wartime. Not trying to be a smartass, but sitting down to discuss the decisions of those appointed over you isn't an option in the military. Been there, done that for 21 years

Motte is essentially Hunt but an actual nhl version who plays defense and penalty kills. Hunt to the press box now. Which I’m surprised but it is absolutely great news.

Kind of amazing Hunt goes from second line to press box once everyone is healthy.

I feel like Othmann, Berard and Cuylle are better prospects than Barron.
