.Not if you take 12 in 30 and compare it with Ovy's 23 in 53? Moreover Ovy must have weighted at least 60 pounds more and was 6 inches taller and skated faster. Moreover Ovy played for a real team wheras Michkov played for Sochi. Michkov has 0 points in 3 games with SKA, how many points would have he scored had he played on a real team too?
That's Hughes' being transparent! Doesn't mean he can forecast the future. It looks like he's managing his own expectations.
Really, like who?Though I'm guessing this time a lot of people want to rush him because they are so bitter that they want Reinbacher to fail just to go "See! SEE!!".
2D is top pairing teams often refer to 1D as left and 2D as right. Jeff Petry wasn't a 2D he was a 3D or a 4D depending on how you look at it.The difference is Price was categorized potentiel franchise player for the start.
Michkov had that same potential franchise player potential
Reinbacher? Not so much. Hughes even said he had potential of a 2D. Not even top D.
Completely different.
You don't draft a #2D at 5th OV over Michkov......That's Hughes' being transparent! Doesn't mean he can forecast the future. It looks like he's managing his own expectations.
I don’t think he’s long term at all. I think he’ll be with the Habs by 24-25I would have taken a chance at Michkov even if we were too see him play in 3 years. As for who they selected, seems like an interesting pick and long-term project like Slaf. He might become another Komisarek or the next Weber.
The entire scouting staff had him pegged as their Guy. What does that tell you?You don't draft a #2D at 5th OV over Michkov......
Then imagine drafting a defenseman who had 10 points in 29 games in a f***ing junior leagues. And who also happen to be a Russian, in front of Michkov, at 6OV.You don't draft a #2D at 5th OV over Michkov......
Haven't seen anything close to Pronger, could you please share some of the videos you're seeing.watch some game tape
I don't know about that. Most fans saw top 3 as NHL ready maybe top 4. This assuming Michkov would still be under contract.people complain about the Habs rushing talent to the NHL but then go crazy if the top pick isn't in the NHL the next season.
Though I'm guessing this time a lot of people want to rush him because they are so bitter that they want Reinbacher to fail just to go "See! SEE!!".
Hall GillSomeone humor me and tell me what a 1D is.
It's definitely not David...as per our GMSomeone humor me and tell me what a 1D is.
History says you do that 100% of the time so….You don't draft a #2D at 5th OV over Michkov......
A D2 is not a 2nd pairing D, from what I gather, but, rather, a #2 D, or a first pairing D that rounds out the first pairing with a more offensive #1D on the same pairing:That's just pathetic to burn a #5 pick on a 2nd pairing dman who may or may not run the PP, what a moron we have in charge. I thought 'hey maybe Kent knows something about the kid and he's special' Nope. What a butthead.
a few scouts said he's a second pairing guy, that's my new expectations after listening to old Kento as well.A D2 is not a 2nd pairing D, from what I gather, but, rather, a #2 D, or a first pairing D that rounds out the first pairing with a more offensive #1D on the same pairing:
Hutson - Reinbacher, for example.
Michkov was not an option so the question isI don't dislike Reinbacher but I was one of the rare weirdos who said we should have drafted a D last year instead of Slaf or Wright, looking at last year's class and this year's class, and drafted a forward this year. And oh and behold, they drafted for position this year even though Hughes went on the defensive when asked about it. Should have drafted a D last year. Also Ds take longer to develop. What a waste.
All I know is I'd rather have Jiricek/Nemec-Michkov over Salf-Reinbacher.
i think you forgot the part where Ovy also had points against weak teams. Need to account for those too. Also, that makes it 12 in 28, not 12 in 30. If you remove the points, remove the games. 12 in 28 is 0.428 ppg and 23 in 53 is 43.3 ppg. So exactly like I said, remove those 8 points and Michkov is still really close to Ovy. Now remove whatever point Ovy got against the weakest team and Michkov is on top for most ppg, just like I said.
All this bs about real team is ridiculous. He still faced KHL opposition every night.
