I see a lot of talent there.
I wasn't referring to Reinbacher, just whoever they deem to be expandable to fill holes elsewhere in the future. We didn’t draft this player with trading him in mind.
Eric Faille, who plays with him, had some good comments on RDS.ca. He couldn’t believe the comments he was reading and hearing from Habs fans.
He’s adamant that this kid is for real and will be as good as Josi was. « The kid was 18 and was our PP QB. At 18! He did everything while playing in a pro league. He a complete defenseman. He will make you eat your words. » He was especially talking to Martin Lemay, who had previously said that if Reinbacher becomes as good as Josi, he’ll eat the piece of paper he was writing on.
I’m one of them. And from David’s video montage and the clips I saw on YT, just briefly, I can see the wow.he was popular in the draft thread too before the season ending when it was close to only poster who watch a lot of games
Like I said earlier most poster who complain hard about that pick are poster I never saw on the draft thread during the year and I’m pretty sure most haven’t watch a single game or him
Slowly but surely becoming one of us.I see a lot of talent there.
f*** off with these picks for need. Why not BPA? Shouldn’t it be simple? Did we really take him 5th because he’s a RD?
Most of them won't remember the Big Three. We don't have that but no one would in a capped league. The Canadiens' recent success in the playoffs (2020 bubble playoffs & 2021 Final run) were with big and mean D like Weber, Chiarot, Edmundson (2021) & Petry.
The Canadiens are building something like that, except the big punishing D they're assembling now have more skill than the previous quartet. And then you add smaller statured Hutson, who broke records in the NCAA in his freshman year.

When people keep asking the difference between BPA and Needs....from Hughes himself....Clear as day. I disagreed with Timmins. I disagree now. No matter how good he is. It's a stupid strategy.
He seems pretty solid to me, and while he's not nasty he is physical.I hope i'm wrong, we will see, he looks fragile too, hope he won't be injury prone.

True number 4. On the other hand, a star RHD CAN bring you close to the cup too.1) Of course a teammate will have high praise for his talented teammate.
2) Very few people think Reinbacher is bad.
3) Josi is a massive overachiever who was picked 38th overall, not a Top 5 pick.
4) Even if he becomes as good as Josi, Michkov has a serious chance to be even better than that.
That is not true at all.He lacks the tools to ever be a big time producer like a Seider or Heiskanen whos names have been thrown around a bit.
His value comes with how high his floor is and how advanced he is, not because of his ceiling.
Big difference for me between someone who complain about the pick and someone who have questions about that pick. I do consider you where complainingI’m one of them. And feom David’s video montage and the clips I saw on YT, just briefly, I can see the wow.
I can't beleive it.Surprisingly, 8 D selected in the first round.

I wanted the munchkin. But I’ll look at this one this summer.

How do you equal going D with needs? Have you looked at every team and their respective pool? They were all missing left D's?NHL scouts love drafting for need. That’s what they do. We’ve been doing it for like ever.
Just tonight 8 D went and 3 in the top 11. Ludicrous. Simashev? Wallinder?
The answer is there; they draft by need.

Well, star RHD are a rare commodity. I understand that. Championship teams have been built with that too.Absolutely unbelievable.
We might have missed on Matvei Michkov because Reinbacher is right-handed.
BPA my ass.
