And it's warranted. Still take Kopitar over Price 10/10.

Kopitar never approaches Price's peak. If Price doesn't get hurt in 2015-16 it'd be back to back Hart trophies. You can't predict health.

Moreover, if we hadn't of picked Price we'd probably have taken Brule. 5 other players went before the guy you're cherrypicking at 11.

And even if you feel we didn't draft the BPA - we still landed a superstar. Hardly something to be upset about. Great f***ing pick.

Arizona picking Simashev that is why. If Reinbacher was their man they certainly were not getting him trading down.

One can't run his draft based on the fans misplaced anger. I'm sure some will dunk the kid because he commited the unforgivable sin of being chosen instead of the other guy... But yeah, the GM can't control how the fans behave.

You don't win cups without elite talent. We have 0 of it. 2 years into the rebuild and no 1C, D or G. That's a failure. Chicago tanked for 1 year and came away with their franchise 1C and likely a 2C in Moore.
