25th in the league in goals per game. 24th in the league in powerplay. Can't imagine DQ staying past the trade deadline if this trend continues. Panarin already producing at over a 1 PPG rate. The coach relied entirely on Mika and Panarin to have superstar years last season and that didn't even get us far enough for normal playoff seed. That's DQ's plan. Just sad

Are we just going to ignore the fact that he thought it would be a great idea to put out an injured player for the PP last game? Not any player but our top offensive player, when he was clearly hurt? Then to have Boston players targeting him like Marchant did?

This is a f***ing regular season game, was that 2 points really worth risking further injury to Panarin who clearly pulled something? This wasn't game 7 of a playoff series. Continuing to play with a pulled groin or whatever he had is just going to make it worse, especially when he is getting targeted by the other team.

IMO that should have been the nail in the coffin for Quinn. I don't care if Panarin wants to be out there, of course he does, he is a warrior. But the coach needs to use some f***ing common sense.
Alrighty then, yes I guess we will just ignore the fact.

I'm not denying any of that but my point is my expectation before the season started that we'd be the shitty defensive team from last year with better goaltending and comparable offense, maybe even better due to Alexis and Kakko's development.
But that is not linear. Scoring more of the course of an entire season against a single team does not guarantee that the following season, the same scoring pace will be maintained.

They are a point out of a playoff spot. I think that you will be sorely disappointed when he is not in fact fired.

I thought it was dumb but Marchand didn’t do anything of any consequence to him and they have top level trainers on the bench. If they say he’s good to go in that situation it’s not that crazy to give him pp time of all things.

Caps had/have Kuz, Ov, Orlov, Samsonov all out for COVID protocol
Pitt has a slew of injuries/players out as well
Isles went to the conference finals last year with virtually the same roster

Those are the 3 teams ahead of us. We have been one of the most fortunate teams this year so far in regards to injuries/covid (knock on wood). The context is important

There are many bad things one could say about Vidneault's coaching here, but his offensive system had an identity that showed itself immediately upon taking over, and I still don't know what kind of offense Quinn is trying to impart. It seems to be wait around for Zibanejad and Panarin to make something happen, and now that Zibanejad is playing bad and Panarin is hurt, that's a little flawed lol

Glad to see the explosiveness of last year's 5th best offense has been traded in wholesale for a bit more defensive structure. Not only are they bad, they look utterly hopeless trying to put the puck in the net.

They were not shutout once last year and have been blanked THREE times in 13 games. It's hard to be that bad. Get Quinn out of here now before he ruins every young talent they have.

I start with firing Oliver, replacing him, and going from there.

But DQ has to go, he refuses to play Gauthier. Get DQ the f*** out.

If their was mutual interest between the Rangers and Gallant, he would be here already. My sense is that the Rangers will wait until the off-season to fire Quinn, when there are more candidates for hire. The alternative is naming Martin interim head coach but I don’t see that.

Fire him now and get a new coach to try and jumpstart the team or fire him at the end of the season so we can get a good draft pick. Either way, he needs to be gone before next season.

Time is a wasting.
As it is, it's going to take a while for players to get used to a new coach and a whole new system but I guess JG is willing to piss away another year.

I would give Mike Sullivan a call as soon as he’s available.

Their PP shooting % right now is 1% higher than their 5v5 shooting %. It’s -8.2% lower than their PP shooting % last year.

PP% right now is half of what it was last year.

Is that what you guys think is happening? Long-term? That the power play’s effectiveness was literally cut in half?
