Did a quick google on who does J.P. Barry represent and here is what I came up

http://www.forbes.com/profile/jp-barry/

Evgeni Malkin $9.5 x 8 yrs NMC
Roberto Luongo $5.3 x 12 yrs NTC
Dougie Hamilton $5.75 x 6 yrs (No clauses)
Carl Soderberg $4.75 x 5yrs NTC

(Contracts from Capfriendly.com)

so based off Dougie's contract alone we are looking at $6 mill for about 5 yrs for Pastrnak

Marchand just got 6.1 for 8 years and he's far more proven and has been a core member of the team since 2011... Slim chance he gets 6m IMO. Mid 5m, I think for 5-6 years.

Pasta has the potential to really help the Bruins when they play the Habs . Many of the regulars often don't rise to the occasion whenever we play Montreal but Pasta has enough individual skill to change the game on his own .

Need to sign him to a 8 year contract quickly.

At this rate and the way Pasta is playing, I would think he would go after a bridge deal in hopes of an even bigger contract the following year. But if the Bs can net him for something around 5-5.5 x8 Id be loving it. That looks to be a steal.

I feel like every game I watch I see him getting scrappy. Warms my heart!

I fully expect a bridge deal.

He`s clearly worked on adding some muscle, just not getting easily pushed off pucks as he was in his rookie year and last year, always has played a willingly feisty game but with that added muscle, is able to do things now he couldn`t in the first 2 years

Not sure he "fell" to the B`s, I think he was picked pretty much where many of the "experts" thought he would be, late first or early second, here`s just one article I plucked off the interwebz about him

http://thehockeywriters.com/david-pastrnak-the-next-ones-nhl-2014-draft-prospect-profile/

Most of the mocks I saw had him going 20 and later. Although there were a few guys that were higher on him (Pronman had him going 14). The general consensus seemed to be that he was extremely gifted offensively, but scouts were not sure how he would react to NHL physicality. That appears to be a non-issue at this juncture.

ps I may be wrong, but I think Kirk was very high on both Pasta and Donato that draft?

I said he could score 30 this year with a full season under his belt. Looks like he can very well do that, maybe more.

If he wants a bridge, it can't be higher than the Kucherov (14M/3y) one. Can it?

But if the Bruins can get him for Under 6 for 8y, all the better.

Boy would I love to see him locked up long term. There's the first line for so many years to come, and boy it's a good one.

Something between Kucherov and Galchenyuk.

So like 2 or 3 years 3.75 per would be my guess for a bridge.

Bridge is more likely. Your seeing a lot of younger players signing bridge deals.
These seven and eight year deals are crippling to teams if something goes wrong. I know how everyone is enamoured with Kriejci's deal.

Pasta is 20. His deal would end when he is Marchand's age. Little different.
