Well, that’s definitely on them. Skinner had very clearly lost a step last season, and he’s always been a one-dimensional player with serious flaws in his game.
It's not exactly rational to go with the "McLeod for Skinner" angle, but since he's being talked about here, he's given the team something that it has dearly lacked early on. I never had Skinner pegged as the guy who go to the tough areas, but he's been a hound around the net and creates a bit of chaos down low. The goals will come, but in the meantime, at least it builds offensive momentum for the team.
