Shoulda got one game in
Hosed only because they expected J.Skinner to be better.
What trash they ended up with to round out the top 6.
Technically when you look at it it was Skinner + Savoie for McLeod.

The Skinner signing would happen irrespective of us trading McLeod or not, if we didn't have an interested party for McLeod , I'm guessing Henrique would of been the UFA we likely don't sign given they occupy the same slot on the team.Technically when you look at it it was Skinner + Savoie for McLeod.
I don't think he's lazy. He just doesn't understand that part of the game. I think his backcheck is better than when he tries to play defense during prolonged attacks. It's not the effort, it's the brain.I think it's useless, his entire career coaches have been trying to teach him this, but he's just too lazy to do it.
It's not exactly rational to go with the "McLeod for Skinner" angle, but since he's being talked about here, he's given the team something that it has dearly lacked early on. I never had Skinner pegged as the guy who go to the tough areas, but he's been a hound around the net and creates a bit of chaos down low. The goals will come, but in the meantime, at least it builds offensive momentum for the team.
