Bob MCcown just said on sportsnet the deal he wouldnt do was kadri and gardiner. I sure hope not.
I actually want Luongo, but firing Burke is Pejorative Slured. You're completely right about him being an amazing trader and if we end up paying a lot for Luongo because MLSE puts their mitts into this team yet again, I'll.. well I'll probably do nothing about it because I suck and for some reason continue to watch this joke of a franchise, but I'll ***** a lot about it.
Anybody else nervous that the new ownership just turned the organization over to "the guy in the next office."
I know that is harsh - Nonis is qualified for the job - but wouldn't responsible owners want to at least talk to candidates outside the organization? Would they not at least wanted to interview somebody from an organization like Detroit or New Jersey - teams with long track records of success? Or somebody from LA or Chicago? Two high profile teams that recently rebuilt and won championships?

As of him being dismissed, the organization was still in partnerships with a number of foundations and groups in Toronto... He WAS doing it until he got fired.[/B]
It really depends on what Leaf fans you're talking about. Pretty sure you aren't going to get a consensus on this being a great move by the organization, so.....
who the f cares? You're one of the wort teams in entire NHL.
I'm so sick of fans that care about the names on Jerseys/stat sheets - and not the results in standings.
I wouldn't do that trade. I could part with Kadri, and a lower prospect, but not Gardiner.Alex Seixeiro @alexfan590
Bob McCown on #Sportsnet: Burke didn't want to deal Kadri & Gardiner for Luongo. Felt it wasn't the right deal to make.

We actually have a future.
McCown saying this is 100% due to Luongo.
He also said Gillis wanted Kardi and Gardiner and Burke would not do it.
having gards, lupul, dion on this team for pretty much done goods?
the pool talent we have now...
What a joke of a franchise. Why now? The timing is ridiculous. I guess we have meddling owners again.
If this is the deal.. How bad does Burke really look for saying no?
If that was Vancouver's price for a 33-year-old goalie with that contract, then Burke was absolutely right in not making the trade
