Really it's the most ridiculous thing you've read on this entire site? Ermmkay

Anyways wasn't trying to troll I'll just read the thread stop with my ridiculous opinion which I believe in and wait for your analysis of DDs actual words

Are you missing something here? I'm not talking about what that Smurf did or did not say. How many times do I have to repeat myself? I couldn't care less about some hearsay anyway. I'm only talking about your exact quote.

Please don't make me repeat myself again. I've only done it once more out of the goodness of my heart.

Oh ok I didn't realize the first five pages of this were about what I said I thought dd had said something awful........in French no less. Like most witch hunts this one is losing focus in absence of any actual content to prosecute I guess

There's no witch hunt with me. I'm using your exact quote. But please continue. I find it humorous.

If pacioretty went into king henrik like Kreider did with Price and got no penalty would no one question whether or not it was intentional? Really??????

Malkin went into Hank exactly like that, Girardi bumped him a bit in the back (what is this, like 5 years ago time flies).

Malkin certainly wasn't called and we didn't complain. Go back and check, it was in the POs.

i apologize for my sometimes poor english its not my native language ill stick to my comment tho

I am positive that Kreider didnt try to take out or injure Price. He was unfortunate and fell with a huge amount of speed (36 km/h, 22 mph).

However, I would not have complained if he had gotten a penalty for it.

Did you miss the whole part where he got tripped?

If you want the original info - the link in french is here

http://www.rds.ca/hockey/canadiens/ils-nous-ont-botté-le-derrière-1.1148710

The title can be translated as "they kicked our as.es"

Quote from Desharnais:

« C’est discutable. C’est l’un de nos meilleurs joueurs donc ils veulent peut-être le déranger un peu, mais nous devrons essayer de faire la même chose avec leur gardien », a conclu Desharnais."

"It's debatable. He is one of our best players so they maybe want to disturb him a bit, but we should try to do the same thing with their goalie."

So he's talking about "disturbing" - find me a better translation for "deranger". No mention of injuring or hitting - and all forwards know they have to disturb the opposing goalie.

Much ado about nothing.

Thanks for posting this. As expected, Desharnais never actually said anything close to what was claimed.

Perhaps if their defenseman didn't let Kreider skate around them all game long, they wouldn't have had to trip in when he was in alone on price. They are already acting stupid after one game.

I would actually like that comment from that dope if was true. Don't know if it was. It tells me he doesn't think his team can skate with or beat the Rangers. After one game, he already made a, "I'm defeated" quote.

I can't be the only one that would feel confident in 6 3 220 pound tank Kreider in a fight against Prust...

I don't necessarily think Kreider would come out in a landslide, but the guy saying he'd get his ass kicked seems a little out to lunch

Kreider's only chance would be to grab a good hold and not let go. He is so strong that I think Prust would not be able to do much. Kreider does not know how to fight. He's had one that I know of ever with Phaneuf and that's pretty much what happened and Phaneuf is not much of a fighter--Prust is. Prust has embarrassed heavyweights before--though I don't think Brandon is the same as he used to be--there's a lot of wear and tear involved with those who frequently fight and he's had numerous injuries--particularly shoulder injuries. Prust has fought Carcillo by the way--the year after Carcillo mugged Gaborik. Prust won that fight easily.

Any chance that the Canadiens had getting back into yesterday's game was pretty much shot full of holes when he took his 14 minutes of penalties. I would not have been pleased if he were still one of our players and did that. It accomplished nothing for his team apart from making him the most likely to be scratched of their forwards when Galchenyuk comes back.

The issue of whether Kreider tried to injury Price is laughable IMO. He could have easily been as hurt in that collision as Price. He had two Montreal d-men chasing him and whacking and hacking at him. The idea that the Canadiens might seek revenge on Lundqvist for that is stupid--anything intentional and I expect the league would pretty much suspend the player right out of the playoffs. Chasing Kreider around and feeding the Rangers pwp's would be pretty stupid as well. Are the Canadiens more interested in revenge than in playing the Stanley Cup finals?

The only fight Kreider has been in was against one of the biggest [word for female dogs] in the league. He just threw Phaneuf to the ice.

Wrong. If Montreal wants to play that game, you ignore it and score some goals and end the series quick.

^ this. Exactly this. You don't fall for their obvious attempt to change your team's mindset. That's all this is; a weak attempt at giving the Rangers something to think about other than their own game plan that worked in spades in game 1.

I listen a lot to TSN radio Montreal and everything is evil and only the Candians are good. Can't wait to hear Tony and Knuckles Nilan's take on the Krider play. They made Lucic out to be more evil than Charles Manson. These guy's are to funny.

unlike the furor over phantom DD comments - thanks for letting me know whats crazy and not crazy

I SAW the DD interview yesterday on RDS and it can be interpreted in 100 different ways. I'm fluently bilingual, and DD's comments to me sounded like he and the rest of the team think that Kreider intentiionally tried to injure Price. His facial expression while making the comments suggets that also.

The interesting part to me, is that when the collision takes place, Prust is right next to Kreider as he's getting up, and he does nothing to him, like the rest of the Habs players. However, in the third, Prust goes crazy on Kreider, which suggests to me that Price may not be 100%. I think it may also be frustration of course, because even the mild mannered DD slashed Zucc in the 3rd, and Bourque elbowed Girardi to the head...

The Habs practice at 11am this morning, and it will be interesting to see if Price is on the ice...

If anything that could have possibly been a penalty shot for Kreider. He was on a breakaway and got tripped. BTW, who would intentionally fall while on a breakaway? That's ridiculous.

Also, considering all these people from Montreal, they should have played hockey at least once in their lives... You should know that when you're going at top speed (especially at the speed that Kreider was going) it doesn't take much to knock you off balance.

If kreider is our lucic I'm fine with that... but seriously they should be more worried about catching Kreider than running Hank

That's the first thing I thought was that it should be a penalty shot, but then again how many missed calls are there when you in Montreal thru out the years. So if anything Canadiens should have felt they dodged a bullet there with the non call

He had his skate chopped out! If any penalty should have been called, it should have been on the Canadiens for tripping.
