There's a reason this thread got closed so quickly. Everyone except a pretty small bunch of Habs fans says it was a totally accidental play. Even Therrien said it was accidental, so he isn't even trying to for the frequent coaching strategy of complaining about a non-call in order to maybe buy one for later in the series.
The rest of the hockey world is paying this situation very little mind, no reason to keep the story going ourselves.

Thanks didn't think I said anything too outrageous. The rangers Habs thread in playoffs section have been so cordial that yea this amount of speculation on a phantom quote from the Webster of the NHL does seem odd

The comments in here are pretty weak compared to the usual content on team's board during the playoffs. Does any of this even honestly surprise you? It's the playoffs, you're in another team's board, and it's only a few people. Do you see all the level headed posts around here too?

anyone who thinks a player would intentionally go leg first at speed into a stationary object needs to have their head examined.
then...they should get it examined again.
if youve ever played any hockey at any level, youve probably seen someone go leg first into the boards or the goal post and snap their leg like a twig.
if you havent, let me show you one from earlier this year.
again, if you think ANY hockey player would intentionally go legs first into a goalie, youre INSANE.
now, if kreider bowled him over shoulder first, i'd say you have an argument.
EDIT. for the record ive seen at least 3 guys snap their legs on feet first slides into goalposts/boards in beer league. nothing more painful to watch than that, and theyre going maybe 1/10th the speed that kreider was going in at.

I told kreider to do it. It's a new season subscriber perk. He has an ear transmitter/receiver that allows me to talk to him while he's on the ice. I said crash into price going full speed and fold your own knee back so it's not too obvious. He said he wouldn't mind ruining the rest of his post season by blowing his own knee out if it gave him the chance to take out their star goalie.

Oh ok I didn't realize the first five pages of this were about what I said I thought dd had said something awful........in French no less. Like most witch hunts this one is losing focus in absence of any actual content to prosecute I guess
