hahahaaa

I'd like to see/hear a quote on this. Haven't heard anything, and it sounds very much out of Desharnais' character.

I think it may have been in french. Some hab fan translated it. Another one said we misinterpreted it

Anyone have the gif of Prust doing everything he could to injure kreider and kreider just ignoring him completely?

If he said this, Montreal has learned zero from beating Boston, they're not going to win this series.

Lol @ Kreider meant to do that.

I am hoping that they try that crap because then we know the Rangers are in their head.

He literally threw Phaneuf to the ice earlier this year. The only person who would have the balls to fight Kreider would be Pacioretty or Gorges. I dont think Kreider is really afraid of either.

Prust would kick Kreider's ass. I don't care about size and weight difference. Not even a chance for Kreider. I'm glad he was able to take punishment from him and not retaliate.

That's not fighting. Kreider would most likely just turtle to the ice or try and wrestle Prust down in a few seconds. If he tried to fight Prust would embarrass him like Ranger embarrassed Habs today.

Why would Kreider need to fight Prust? Stupid for a top line scorer to fight a bottom line grinder. Total waste of Kreider.

It amuses me however that you believe the rangers are somehow intimidated by the presence of Prust.

Kreider sure looked terrified

Kreider shouldn't fight Prust. He did the right thing. I was replying to someone else that said the only ones that would even try to fight Kreider was Patches and Gorges.

I'll bet that Prust will be regularly matched with Kreider on the ice from here on out, similar to Dubi on Crosby in their series. And keep amusing yourself with the fact that if it came down to fighting, Prust would kick anyone's ass on the team that was iced today by the Rangers. So they better get good at ignoring him if he's going to play with that chip all series.

I think he's just saying that to try and motivate his guys. Going into the series a lot of pundits were saying that it was going to be hard for MTL to match the emotional intensity of the Bruins series given the lack of history between MTL and NYR in recent years.

AV went out of his way to say the Rangers respect MTL after MTL said they felt disrespected by BOS, and that was what motivated them even more to beat BOS.

That sort of drive is supposed to intrinsic but it seems like the Habs need fuel from the outside to start their fire. Desharnais is grasping for that fuel.

The best the Rangers can do is play the way they did today. The Habs had a strong surge in the 2nd, but they ran into Hank. The Rangers then pulled away.

I was watching the highlights again on NHL.com, and heard one of the CBC guys (think it was Healey) saying that the Habs are giving the Rangers PP confidence, and they better hope they didn't the sleeping beast. After the Rick Nash goal, the commentator said, they are waking up the sleeping beast.

Desharnais should focus more on backchecking than backtalking... The Rangers need to keep their discipline. I loved Prust as a player and what he did, but not feeding into his strengths will make him irrelevant.. same applies to the rest of the Habs that feed off emotion.

Lmao. This is hilarious. I'm sure the rangers are absolutely terrified of Prust running rampant and beating everyone up.

I have a feeling if Prust wasent a former ranger you wouldn't give a crap about him and his fighting.

I'd be worried about this if it was Boston. Montreal shouldn't be trying to goon it up against anyone. Let them try to go that route and it'll make this series so much easier.

You're a young kid, I'm guessing. You probably don't know much about hockey outside NYR. At least that's how it seems from your posts. I've known about Prust since he first came into the league and pound for pound he's one of the best fighters in the league. The players aren't terrified but he can take runs at people and nobody is going to do anything about it unless Carcillo is dressed. Dorsett can try but he'll get pummeled. I hope he still likes Hank because if this thread is correct it will be Prust or Weise "crashing the net".

Not sure if you are new to hockey, but they have these people called "referees" whose job it is to take guys who do illegal things like run goalies off the ice.

Prust takes shots at Kreider. Prust goes to box for 10 minutes. He's an insignificant little pest when he does that. Nobody on the rangers cares about him

Wow, you knew about a player before he was a Ranger, you're so much more intelligent than everyone!!!!!

So jealous of your incredible knowledge.

I'm not sure if this post is patronizing enough. You should work in a few "you'll learn when you're older"s and maybe a "you've clearly never played the game" to really cement to everyone how much smarter and more knowledgeable you think you are than him.

Whatever you think of Prust's fighting abilities, they are irrelevant. This is the playoffs and the Rangers are built to worry about winning hockey games, not punching people. I'd say their strategy works pretty well.

Guess Kreider going skate first into Anderson and Fleury and injuring them was also accidental, not reckless at all? Cool story bro.

He was talking about how the Rangers made it difficult for Price today and how the Habs need to do the same for Game 2.

I would be shocked if anyone takes "a run" at Lundqvist. We need to tie the series, not take stupid penalties.

Yes. He tends to lose his balance when he's going full speed. Sucks for goalies, but it's not intentional.

How would we destroy them in a goon series? Are you talking on the PP because we don't dress one single guy who could even fight Prust...DD would get owned and unless John Moore steps up or Klein remembers what its like to drop the mitts that's all we have...What in the world are some talking about CK fighting? He's a bull but we will never see that nor should we

Their tough test guy got laughed at by kreider.... If Montreal wants to run hank they better get their golf clubs ready cuz we'd destroy then in a goon series. The best chance they have to win is to play a speed game... Because according to all the media they are a faster team... But not were it counts ie any d man not named subban getting blow by while kreider god to the net multiple times

Prust could very well not be dressed next game. Galchenyuk may be ready to play, and I have a pretty strong feeling he is what the Habs need, not Prust wandering around trying to pick a fight.
