But goals are scored at a higher rate when less then 5v5 are on the ice.The majority of games are played at 5 on 5. Hope this helps!

So Power Plays don't exist then? Asking for a friend. The majority of games are played at 5 on 5. Hope this helps!
The scoring has also dried up. We generated very little tonight. Dallas pretty well controlled us. Maybe we were tired after last night (but they were on a back to back too)? Maybe we played their game a little instead of our own? Maybe we are squeezing the sticks a little? Maybe we fans aren’t the only ones to be losing some confidence? It's been a bad 3 weeks, not just a bad week. Their defensive play has gone into the shitter since November ended
They exist but they're not as representative of a good team as 5on5 play.So Power Plays don't exist then? Asking for a friend.
I actually didn't hear it, I just saw his face on my TVHe was pretty bitchy with the reporter when asked about him not scoring on that EN. Ripped into them about asking questions they know the answers to. I do agree to an extent, he was just frustrated though.
This very thought crossed my mind in the last 4 pages of this thread.People called me a pessimist for not buying in to this team before they had even proven they could win.
What do you call people who believe the team is on the cusp of a death spiral because they haven’t played well for a couple of weeks after winning like 20 of 22 games?
Super-duper pessimists, or fatalists or whatever!People called me a pessimist for not buying in to this team before they had even proven they could win.

No but they do result in the opposing team scoring goals that affect the end-result which is what we should be concerned with instead of more Analytics. They exist but they're not as representative of a good team as 5on5 play.
*High fives*Bahl and Schmid need to be in the lineup going forward. Smith and Blackwood can get lost.
So previous seasons are sustainable. This season is unsustainable. Got it.Congrats to Michael McLeod on his unsustainable two months stretch. He sucks.
Did you say something?I actually didn't hear it, I just saw his face on my TV
I bet it was Ryan Novozinsky though
On one hand I appreciate them calling him out, but on the other hand it's almost like getting mad at your grandma for not being able to hear what you're saying because her hearing is shot or forgetting simple things, due to being old and the mind going.
I'm glad NHL center ice shows post games (and pre games) this year. That's something new for this year.

And you know, I would've signed up for that.....PRIOR TO THE SEASON STARTING.
But now that the Devils are in THIS position, I don't want to be in a situation where missing the playoffs is a possibility.
Sorry but the Devils have raised the bar here and if the end up missing after the start they got, I will be very disappointed to say the least.
Of course they do. But power play results vary so significantly. Much more important to carry play at 5 on 5 which this team has done consistently this year save a handful of games. So Power Plays don't exist then? Asking for a friend.
Bit of a misnomer. They exist but they're not as representative of a good team as 5on5 play.
....yes? Did you seriously just ask that?So previous seasons are sustainable. This season is unsustainable. Got it.
