Only game you can legitimately be angry at it within the last week is the Islanders one, the last two were insanely winnable with the efforts they gave. They were a couple of games within the W13 that they got lucky to win. Also the Stars are literally a top 5 team in the NHL, take a step away from the ledge folks.

People called me a pessimist for not buying in to this team before they had even proven they could win.

What do you call people who believe the team is on the cusp of a death spiral because they haven’t played well for a couple of weeks after winning like 20 of 22 games?:laugh::laugh::laugh:

It's been a bad 3 weeks, not just a bad week. Their defensive play has gone into the shitter since November ended
The scoring has also dried up. We generated very little tonight. Dallas pretty well controlled us. Maybe we were tired after last night (but they were on a back to back too)? Maybe we played their game a little instead of our own? Maybe we are squeezing the sticks a little? Maybe we fans aren’t the only ones to be losing some confidence?

He was pretty bitchy with the reporter when asked about him not scoring on that EN. Ripped into them about asking questions they know the answers to. I do agree to an extent, he was just frustrated though.
I actually didn't hear it, I just saw his face on my TV

I bet it was Ryan Novozinsky though

On one hand I appreciate them calling him out, but on the other hand it's almost like getting mad at your grandma for not being able to hear what you're saying because her hearing is shot or forgetting simple things, due to being old and the mind going.

I'm glad NHL center ice shows post games (and pre games) this year. That's something new for this year.

This very thought crossed my mind in the last 4 pages of this thread.

The wildest takes I’m seeing are about the offense. This team has scored less than 3 goals only one other time in the last ~20 games, and it was the game against Toronto when they did actually score 3+ but the stripes took them away!

One game where they couldn’t generate much and looked gassed from a back to back and stupid coaching decisions isn’t quite enough to justify freaking out about our offense.

And you know, I would've signed up for that.....PRIOR TO THE SEASON STARTING.

But now that the Devils are in THIS position, I don't want to be in a situation where missing the playoffs is a possibility.

Sorry but the Devils have raised the bar here and if the end up missing after the start they got, I will be very disappointed to say the least.

Well, missing the playoffs is different and I probably won't be able to trust this team ever again. I don't think it'll come to that because...it really will suck. Not just for us but probably for the players too.

I like the idea of adding Henrique

And he's a player that I did not want to re-sign and am glad we didn't re-sign him.

And I wouldn't take him at full price, as I wouldn't wanna spend close to $6 million on him next year and whatever the rest of this year

But he's a clear upgrade to Haula and if they would really retain half of his salary then I would totally be down, as half of his salary is just a little more than all of Haula's salary.

The 5 on 5 offense isn't really that concerning to me outside only rolling 3 lines every night lately.

It's the defense that's really concerning, and the PP shitting the bed is compounding things.
