Still think he's being miscast. But he's stepping up big time.

Unfortunately for the Therrien haters out there, a major symptom of a well-coached team in today's game is the ability to plug players into the lineup "above their pay grade", and still contribute to a successful 60 minute plan.
the guy could produce 5 points in a game and you would still think hes miscast.
We need to realize hes no longer a plug.
he's producing below the not so great 0.5 PPG pace when used as a top 6, and below average when used in the bottom 6.

He's doing fine. If you are trying to tell me that Dale Weise is a legitimate top 6 then I don't really know what to say.
At 27, he is a late-bloomer.
No but does it even matter? Hes producing isn't that enough?
I'm curious to see if he can produce the same offense away from Pacioretty. His point pace away from Patches has been the same as his career average. Maybe he is a late-bloomer, but Pacioretty has increased the point totals of everyone he's played with this season.
well obviously not DD

Well, DD has 4 points in the last two games by just touching the puck. Pacioretty has pretty much been the set up man for whatever goals that line has scored.
Every player gets an easy point on occasion. Lars Eller was on the bench when Vancouver scored in their own net a few years ago. Just to say, that's a notable blunder but it happens.
