Go burgle some hamburgers or something..

He's right. Eller has very little finish and barely any Hockey smarts. Kid is overrated by many of you. I'll take a Weise over him any day. I'll win more with Weise.

How many points does anyone have when NOT playing with Patches? How many does Gally or Galchchenyuk have when not playing with Patches?

I hate these arguments. Fact is he IS playing on a line with Patches because he does his job and has been rewarded for it. Not a lot of guys on this team do what he does as consistently as he does it.

He's not a top 6 forward but on most nights, he does a hell of a job impersonating one. If take him of guys like Stewart everyday of the week because he actually plays like he gives a **** every shift. I'll never slam a guy like Weise. Especially when he's putting up numbers as the 3rd wheel on that line.

Amen.

Des Louise is a beautiful human being.

We're actually 12th by weight, which is good.

While it's true that we're small (27th in the league for height), the gap is ridiculously small compared to other teams. We're half a inch smaller than the median.

I'd weight those height measurements with playing time.

Height X ice time per game

Then we could better assess how small we are really.. or not.

Weise isnt first line material. He seems to be able to contribute in a pinch, if someones off for repairs or what not, but i dont think hes suitable for full time first line duties.

But lets be honest here, anyone saying hes lookin good w patch...its not that difficult to look good w patch.

Weise was born to be a HAB:yo:

$1 mil/year...great bargain.
Would some of you prefer a Clarkson and his contract?!:sarcasm:
Be happy we have Weise!!

I'd extend him for another TWO or THREE years since he can be UFA in 2016.
($1.5mil...$1.75mil...$2mil...3more yrs).

Weise can sometimes play on the 1st and 2nd (in case of injuries), and is awesome for the 3rd, and most of the time...too good for the 4th.

Speed demon, heart/grit, tall/big/physical, underrated shot/vision/passing, and...a playoff warrior (full of heart). What's not to love?!

Give me another Weise...anyday!!
(one for our 4th and another for our 3rd line or better...would improve our forward depth and heart/grit).

I'd say 0.9-1.2 mil should get it done.

I wish!! I hope!!
0.9 - 1.2mil...extra!!!

I really hope they extend him to 2-3 more yrs this summer!!
His agent (if he has one?) is probably thinking $2 - $2.5mil/year+ already!

I see how Weise is helping our team (great for top 9-12 depth) and then I look at Clarkson and his ludicrous contract...EVERY Hab fan should be happy with Weise...EVERY single one!!

Go Weise Go!! (true playoff warrior!! really want to see Weise win the Cup with our Habs).

Love him or hate him on the first line, he's pitching in more than Prust/any other 4th liner would. He had an assist tonight, and arguably should have had a goal.

I'm not saying I like him there, or it's ideal, but he hasn't been terrible there either.

The stats above disagree. He's a detriment to his line, they have to make up for his bad plays and lack of puck skills - the guy can't make or recieve a pass on the fly, can't make good decisions, can't do any of the things higher-end players do. He hustles, that's it.

I'm sick of seeing "lunchpail and bucket" guys in the top6. Not Kostopoulous, not Darche, not Moen and not Weise.

He's decent enough to be a top 6 guy once in a blue moon. You know, when guys in front of him just don't have it for a particular game.

I'm quite confident that the habs are actively seeking an upgrade in the top 9, so they don't put wiese there permanently. If there is one move the habs will make at the deadline, this is it, especially with PAP seeming to be in limbo (not that he is good enough for the habs purposes either)

not really, he only looks good there cause he got a few points playing with Patches (dont think he has any when not playing on Patches line)...

Off the top of my head, you may be right about his points, although I seem to remember a game against st Louis where he scored, but he was all alone in the offensive zone when it happened. So I can't remember his mates.

Its not so much about the points though. Its about bringing his legs and hopefully some energy when things are dead in the regular top 6. This happens the rare time.

This doesnt mean that he should be there often, or anything like that. That's a given.

For me, Weise has been a joy to watch!!
(especially loved him in last seasons' playoffs...major playoff warrior...Weise and injured Parenteau should switch salaries!!).

Still can't believe we got him for soft-as-butter-Diaz (#7-8dman on a contender, imo).

Weise has been so useful to our Habs...4th line (amazing!), 3rd line (solid) and can also sometimes deliver on the 2nd and 1st lines (NOTE: we do not have many solid right-wingers AFTER Gallagher...Weise to the rescue!!;)).

Weise at $1mil/year is one of the best bargains in the NHL,imo.

Couldn't be happier with Weise...1 goal and 1 assist yesterday.
(they removed his goal but it should have counted...why the **** do they still have to go to Toronto for the call??????:shakehead:help::shakehead).

And, I can admit...even though Weise is a solid 3rd-4th line warrior (who can help sometimes on the 1st or 2nd)...we still need to add a solid top 9 RIGHT-WINGER. No more Parenteau or ex-Briere...no more softies with no hustle and not enough heart.

We need more warriors like Weise.

Wayne Simmonds would push Weise back to the 3rd line.
(but Simmonds would cost sooooooo soooooo much, so... I would love it if our Habs somehow found another cheap Dale Weise:yo:).

P.A. Parenteau: injured, but even if he's healthy...I really don't see him becoming a playoff warrior (he's a shootout specialist...but there are no shootouts in playoffs!). I don't like Parenteau anymore in our top 9...we need to replace him, trade him, imo.

<Moen: smart/warrior 3rd liner...CUP winner for a reason (was able to sometimes play on the 2nd or 1st in case of injuries...sometimes).
<Prust: awesome 4th liner...sometimes a 3rd liner (sometimes), but I really don't like him on the 1st or 2nd (doesn't fit there at all).
<Kostopoulos: 4th liner (had a huge heart as a Hab).
<Darche: 4th liner...good AHLer...future AHL coach?
<Weise: major bargain amazing 3rd-4th liner who can really help our Habs sometimes with 1st-2nd line duties. Very fast, tall/big, gritty sparkplug, lots of heart/hustle, underrated passing, underrated shot...playoff warrior. When he's really ON...watch out!!
(bonus: Weise grew up a Hab fan like PK Subban).

Something we all have to witness one day:
Weise and Subban lifting #25!!!:yo:

Go Weise Go!!:yo:

i like Dutch Gretzky, he passes the eye test for me. obviously hes ideally a bottom 6 player but i dont mind throwing him a bone now and then, he hasnt looked bad on our 1st line.

one things for sure, id rather have Weise at 1M over PAP.
