even before this game i thought he was playing fine. i don't know what people expect from our bottom 6ers. it's our top 6ers who have to shoulder the blame of lack of offense. Dutch is clutch.

Exactly. We don't expect his guy to put up points. He just does his job and I'm happy with it. The fact that he scores and is so clutch is just a bonus.

He's a big moment guy just like Subban. He just has that extra gear for when its all on the line.

How can you not LOVE Weise????

I love love love my Weise!!!

Give me more!!! More Weise!!

P.S.: you non-believers should be forced to live with John Tortorella for a month!!;)

Playoff warrior!!:yo::nod:
Go Weise Go!! (more Weise please!! not less...I want more!!).

Did you ask for 1 goal or 2 goals? Still time for 2!!
Weise can deliver the goods. I swear I would have signed him to a 5 yr deal last season (end of season) after seeing what he did in playoffs (major major playoff warrior, major heart/big/tall/tough/underrated shot-passing-vision-hockey sense, and bonus...he grew up a Hab fan, etc).

As much as I mother fuc**** love Dale Weise, you don't give 5 year deals to bottom 6 players.

Unless they remind you of Keane, McPhee, and other notables in my time as a fan. Here's one I forgot! Guy Carbonneau.

With the parity within the league? It is my modest opinion to keep to keep a bird in hand.

I don't know how it happened but every time Weise makes a big play or gets a clutch goal I (mis)quote the movie Idiocracy to whoever is around. I imagine our GM is President Comacho.

President (GM) Comacho: "I got a three point plan to fix everything. Number one: We got this guy Dale Weise. Number two: He's got a higher (hockey) IQ than any man alive. And number three: He's going to fix everything.

I usually just shorten it to "We've got this guy...Dale Weise"

I felt on this fine occasion I should share this bit of lunacy with you all.

Indeed "We've got this guy, Dale Weise"

Might be because I'm tired but since I saw that gif with a broom, I associated Weise with being a witch, riding that broom... His face certainly matches that. Then I googled and got this lol

He's not your ''average bottom 6er''.
Imo, Weise is a solid 3rd line warrior who can also pitch in on the 1st and 2nd (sometimes) and 4th line to re-energize it (if it needs that extra energy/speed).

The size/height/speed/grit/underrated shot-passing-hockey sense Weise can bring is needed on all of our lines.

After last year's playoffs...I was sold on Weise being a playoff warrior...I would have given him a 4-5 yr deal (easily) if I were GM...and it would have been cheaper than now.

Go Weise Go!!

subtitle in spanish, the guy speaking spanish?
my poor english translation

Gillis... hey!
What do you want for Weise?
We were ready to pay at least a 2nd round for him
Guess what he asked?
We were stressing, We knew Weise had a good value
its a hard worker
Joke aside, Guess what he asked....
(laughin)
PLAYERS NAME!
Players name!
We even thought tossing out our 1st round pick!
Players name....
We asked him, Are you sure.
He said Yes, that he needed to solidify his defense
That he needed an experienced D
we were sure that he was fooling around
but he wasn't .
The guy was really serious
2 month later, the guy lost his job
Players name!
Seriously I don't believe that yet

Would this summer be the best time to extend Weise? How much will he make on his next contract?

Weise is the man. His agent should have worked a bonus into his contract for successfully trolling the Bruins -- he would have surpassed every metric.

First time I saw Weise in playoffs (as a Hab)...it was obvious he was a playoff warrior (lots of heart...CH heart!). And nice bonus...he grew up a Hab fan.

I would have given him a nice 4-5 yr bargain contract right after that Conference Final VS the Rangers. Bergevin gave him a 2yr, 1mil/year deal...I would have given him slightly more but for 4-5yrs (risky? imo, not when a player shows so much heart in playoffs... I can't stand players who are invisible in playoffs...GTFO).

We should all be about the playoffs and loving players who deliver when it counts (ex: Subban, Weise, etc).

Imo, Weise is super (and cheap) for our team (I'd take another Weise anyday!) since he's a bottom 6 warrior who can also pitch in for top 9 duty, or...even on the 2nd line sometimes (in case of injuries or to wake up soft players like PAP,etc).

Weise is (kind of) a cheap-man version of Wayne Simmonds.
(Simmonds is a solid skater...Weise is fast...both are tall/big enough/right-handed/gritty...and Weise has underrated offensive talent,etc...).

Go Weise Go!! (I hope he will win a CUP with us one day...we need more playoff warriors like him, not less...more ; and no...I'm not related to Weise...I'm just a big supporter of Hab warriors who deliver in playoffs).
