weise is the man. His agent should have worked a bonus into his contract for successfully trolling the bruins -- he would have surpassed every metric.

Through three games this guy is our worst forward. One of the few non-bright spots on the team. Cheats on every play.

He should easily have 2 goals...not sure I'd agree he's been awful

Unlucky, yes... Awful, no...

lol. hardly awful. maybe our least effective forward so far but that's a dubious distinction since everyone's looked pretty damn good so far.

We all know he could pop in a goal or make a great pass as soon as next game. That being said I'd like to see DSP and him switched but that doesn't necessarily have to happen ASAP.

I'm just not having Dutch be our whipping boy 3 games in. lol.

Definitely one of the disappointing players 3 games in; might be a good idea to drop him to the 4th line.

Weise will always have his moments both ways. Sure he flys the zone but who doesn't anymore.
Eller is starting to fly the zone ffs...
I am actually more concerned about not killing an opponent when the boot is to the throat. That is two games in a row we should have ended early. The energy savings could pay huge dividends down the road. Particularly if we can do it regularly as we aren't exactly robust.

I don't think he's been awful. He's had his chances His cherry picking is starting to get on my nerves though. As his tendency to fly out of the defensive end and high into the neutral zone the minute the puck turns over. He needs to better support the d-men when transitioning.

The whole line works well together so far, goals will come! His cherry picking is in accordance with the new mandate to generate more offence. Pretty sure his butt would be nailed to the bench if he went off of the game plan. Last year on his contract, what to do with him?

The lines been a trainwreck defensively and pretty average in the offensive zone. Been MTL worst line by far

It's definitely not a new mandate since Weise has been cherry picking since he's been with the Habs. I like him as a player, don't get me wrong, but it's irritating watching him sit so high up in the neutral zone all the time waiting for a stretch pass.

That's probably the coaches telling him to get moving to give the transition more room.

Super playoff warrior...so underrated by some Hab fans (not all Hab fans), imo. (way too underrated).

I hope Bergevin gives him a 2-3 year extension (1.25-1.5mil X 2-3yrs)...especially before the playoffs where he turns into a playoff machine!!
(imo, he can play on any line during the playoffs since he has so much heart and underrated skill/shot/passing and he's a great/very fast skater...4th line, 3rd line, even on the 2nd and 1st...he brings it:nod:).

Go Weise Go!!:handclap::yo:
(Diaz for Weise? are you kidding me!! what a steal!! love it...still loving that trade/steal!!).

I'm pretty sure his worth is now closer to 2M$. You can't say in the same sentence he's underrated and that his worth is 1.25-1.5 M$.

Sure it'd be a great value contract for MB and the team for I think ha can get Prust's contract on the FA market (if the cap stays the same) which, of course is a overpayment.

2M$/ years is closer to his real value. Solid bottom 6 RWer

Trust me...I'm a huge huge Weise fan (since the first few games I watched him play as a Hab...before that I didn't know that much about him, thanks to Keenan who kept Weise a hidden NHL gem!!)...

...and as a huge Weise fan (always watch him closely and love our playoff warriors...and Weise is definitely one of our best playoff warriors...and we need more warriors if we're going to go all the way). That said/written...his value (to me) is worth way more than 1.25 - 1.5mil/year, but...I just wanted to throw it out there in case Dale would love it so much here that he would take a bargain for 2-3 yrs. When Bergevin gave him only 2 yrs I was pissed because I felt he could have signed him for 4 or maybe even 5 at the same price (but I don't know if Weise would have taken it?). After seeing how he played for our Habs in his first playoff season...I was sold.

Go Weise Go!!
(he was built to win a CUP in Mtl...give him a 2-3yr contract or longer...pretty please!!).

then I hope it's his last season as a Habs.

Dont dislike him, but if DSP continue to play well he can take his spot on the 3rd next year, if not, we have some youngsters who could get a shot.

He could score 17 - 20 playing with Desharnais, in which case his worth would go up to 3 million per year.

I know! I know! But let's not keep bringing his value UP!!;)
You can replace Semin with Weise, and...watch out!! (Weise can score 25goals+ on that line, but then he'd cost too much!! *wink wink*).

Eller - Galchenyuk - Weise

I want to see us win a CUP with Weise and believe me...Weise really helps us in playoffs...he's a natural playoff warrior. Give him that bargain extension now before he scores 25goals and costs too much!!:amazed: Management knows...put Weise on the 1st or 2nd line...Weise will/can score 20-25goals.

Weise is the closest thing we have to a Wayne Simmonds (a poor man's version of Simmonds, or...maybe not that poor after all;)), yet...too many Hab fans here still throw him down to the 4th line...night after night. If Kassian comes back...he has to wait for an injury or wait for a spot on the 4th. Fair is fair.

Seems like not every Hab fan respects our PLAYOFF WARRIORS.
(we should, imo).

We need MORE playoff warriors if we're going to win a CUP.
(not less).

Here on HF Hab forum...you can't bash playoff-Markov, but you can bash Weise...not fair to Weise and what he does for our Habs.

We need more Weise, not less.
I'd love for Bergevin to somehow get another Weise.

Is there another Dale Weise type out there?!
(Gilbert for another Weise! get it done, Bergevin! merci beaucoup!! thank-you!).

I think Weise will get a letter some day. Most likely not with the Habs but somewhere.
