Going to climb like Seider.

Super impressive prospect, and he hasnt even filled out yet.

He will be a minute eating Dman that will be a 2 way force.

Would not be surprised at all if the draft went like this

1.Bedard
2. Fantili
3. Michov
4. Reinbacher
5. Carlsson
6.Benson
7. Smith

I'd be pretty shocked if Reinbacher cracked the top 4

He's the best defender in this draft by a mile who could go as high as #5 or #6 overall and it's absolutely insane how literally every scouting resource is sleeping on him.
Exactly what i've been thinking too.
If STL ends up around 7-12- My hope is Reinbacher

As best I can tell, this is the complete list of defenders who have put up ~0.5 points/game in a top European league in their draft year over the past 20 years :

Victor Hedman
Rasmus Dahlin
David Jiricek
David Reinbacher

He's having an absolutely insane season for a draft-eligible defender that should have him as a top-3 pick in any normal draft, and most ratings seem to have him in the 20s or even the 2nd round. And it isn't like he's some tiny offensive wizard - he's a 6'2 plus-skating RHD.

He reminds me of Dobson with more gifted feet

Someone in the top 10 is going to take him and they should. A big RD that can skate, defend and score points? Probably the hardest player and position to fill after your 1-2 centers.
Vancouver if he’s there it’s a lock. Other than a top 4 slot.

David Reinbacher seems like a player with top 4 upside and probably has the highest likelihood of reaching that upside out of all the defenseman in the draft. He’s pretty solid in all areas and doesn’t necessarily excel at any one area. He’s a good skater, plays a mature game, plays with some physicality and is able to contribute in the offensive zone. Reinbacher also has good size and uses it effectively but will need to continue to get stronger.

He doesn’t necessarily possess any elite offensive tools but he can generate offense through solid simple plays. I don’t think he’ll be a defenseman that will QB a power play or have a ton of points at the NHL level. But, he’ll probably be a solid two-way defenseman that can eat some minutes and play PK.

Reinbacher will probably be the first defenseman taken in the draft. I suspect he may be taken a bit higher than he probably should because it is easy to project him to the NHL and he might only need one season in AHL before he is in the NHL full-time. While other defensemen in this draft could have higher offensive upside, I don’t think you can go wrong with Reinbacher if your team needs D prospects.

This sounds almost exactly how I describe Simashev from the same draft

They don't play the same way at all though. I suspect everyone will have their favorite between the two, but I really like both of them and see them going in the same area, 11-17

I love Simashev too.

My hope for the blues is Reinbacher/Leo with their own 1st, musty/danielson with hopefully a 1st they get from ror or something and Simashev with the rangers/stars 1st

Assuming that the Canucks pick after #4 then he fits the bill for them in so many different ways just couldn't see them not taking him.

He’ll continue to rise and go 5-10, maybe even 4-8. Most of the scouting services are just that. Actual teams will put a premium on the size, position, and NHL readiness.

I’m sad he is moving up. I was dreaming of the Ducks taking him with a mid to late 1st.

Whoever gets him is going to be very happy.

I dont see him going top 5 but 6-10 is very realistic. The top 5 all are projected as top line Cs (and a franchise winger in Michkov) and Reinbacher isnt viewed as a consensus #1 Dman or a can't miss first pairing guy. If some teams view D over Wingers its very likely he goes in the top 10

I guess the ducks will just have to settle with an already higher pick and some fill in bodies like Zellweger and Mintyukov not to mention Warren and Luneau eh?
