Some good news instead of bitching.

I loved Brabenec's game and think he could become a bottom 6 NHL regular. Nice to see him off to a nice start.

Zohorna has been called up! It looked to me that a player wasn't injured but sent down so he may have a real good shot at keeping the job this year.

Werenski came back and Jiricek was still in lineup. He had lower minutes in bottom pair but I was surprised he wasn't immediately sent down. Encouraging.

Jiricek with a gorgeous assist tonight.. from behind the other teams goal line (wonder the last time Gudas, Rutta or Simek did that?lol). I did notice though that he's still int he lineup and Peeke and Boqvist are healthy scratches. He's getting 5/6 minutes but ahead of 2 NHLers. Not bad. I imagine this ends with him back in the AHL though.

And also, unfortunately, with a completely crazy game, when he lost the puck on the blue line and was too lazy to get going and go back to the defense for the puck. In the end, it was a separate raid on the goal. This is not how you play for a spot on the roster, and this situation certainly didn't help you in the fight for a spot.

Rookie D does not play perfectly, shocking! Yet he is by looking at advanced stats along with Provorov not only by far the best defenseman, but both are best players of the team...

He was benched and i've never said ot was ok, but things like that are happening with rookies, because NHL is played at much higher pace than AHL and new guys are making mistakes it has to be expected.

I'm curious if he gets sent down after being benched or if he gets a second chance. I'm fine with him in AHL but he does look like he belongs in NHL. If you want to see D making mistkaes... please watch my Oilers. We got 30 year olds making 9 million a year that make worse mistakes.lol

He was benched and i've never said ot was ok, but things like that are happening with rookies, because NHL is played at much higher pace than AHL and new guys are making mistakes it has to be expected.

It's not that he made a mistake. It's about how he consciously behaved. Even the star of the team can't behave like this.

I would repeat myself again. It's definitely not about the mistake, that happens, but about how he behaved afterwards.

Well this night was a bust ... all teams in action and our guys got barely anything apart from Chytil and that Zacha scored. Plus of course good performance from Dostal and Vanecek. Otherwise dissapointing, I got up today full of expectations and see this. My morning is ruined lol

And Jiříček toi 8:03.. Terrible. He'll probably be back in the AHL soon with this one..

Dostal was incredible! He is our best goalie and he's a backup on a 2 way contract.lol

Zacha is getting a lot of praise which is great! Glad he finally scored.

Definitely not a showcase of Czech talent last night though.lol

Fun stat: Mrazek has a .925 after 4 games which is exceptional!

He also only has 1 win in 4 games.lol

The good news is that this may make him a trade target to a team struggling in net.. Oilers, LA want a goalie. He may get out of the cellar just yet!

I would be thrilled if the Hawks can trade Mrazek for value. Especially since he was brought in as a dump to move up in the draft. He’s playing well so far.

Palat tragic so far point wise right up there with Zacha and Kubalik. Zacha hopefully starting to get better.

Look at the table of czech guys in NHL is kinda depressing so far. Only 6 out of 18 has more then 2 points, and majority is in "-" numbers ...

Who shocked me is Lauko, he is horrible. Agree with Kulich, unfortunately for him Rosén looks even better. Forward depth of Buffalo is actually insane, i can see Kulich making it 3 years from now, and being in top 6 is out of question too, unless he shows something insane in NHL.

There is, IMO, such a thing as too much AHL... you can only dominate that league for so long before becoming an AHLer... Kulich (and Rosen) may be getting close to that. Obviously D and G benefit from more time in the A as it's a different position.

Palat has sucked.

Zacha does not have the points but is getting a lot of praise.
Kubalik is in bottom 6 with no PP time... go block a shot isn't his game. Waived soon is my guess and hope he does. The second they got Tarasenko it was bad for him.

Brabenec is doing very well for such a young player in AHL... nice surprise.
Klapka is killing it... he may be 1 injury away from a callup! He's got points and size.

Spacek... no idea... young D in AHL.. he'll take at least another year minimum. Good system and good D in the pipe in Minnesota.

I have to laugh now. Almost everything is wrong.
The truth is, I never liked him as a player. He has some top qualities.. and then some that make him a declining element in every team he's ever played for..

I'm a huge fan but that is several coaches in a row that have benched him from the Narodak to NHL. I have no defence.
