I´ve heard that Blumel is simple south-north attacker, with limited playmaking and vision, he is not making other player on his line better or even complementing them, he relies on them. Not a player you want to have at contender team.

Don't get me wrong, not saying he'll be a 1000game NHL with a .ppg pace but I'm pissed he's in the AHL with Blumel right now. They are both NHL calibre. Grrrr.

Kulich with 8 goals in 9 games. I just wish he tried harder.lol

Rousek played in NHL last night!

Jiricek is pencilled in for game 10 tonight which means he'd be sticking in the NHL for the season. Surprised this was a possible outcome.

I was fine with 9 NHL games and back to AHL. He beat out some good NHL players to get that spot. Provorov is an awesome D and a great partner for a rookie.

If Mrazek keeps this up he may be traded to a team that needs a goalie. I imagine he's near free to acquire.

My oilers could use him. I'd prefer dostal but Anaheim would be nuts to trade him

Some more good news. He might be the first 'surprise' of the season. I know little about him. I understand he is a very good skating, bottom 6 energy type player for line 4.

Some rumours and such circulating around Smejkal. Not good. He may be returning to Europe. Hope that's wrong. Most feel he should be on the Sens and that he was sent down because of inept management. Belleville is a shit town, he can't be too happy.lol

Some more good news. He might be the first 'surprise' of the season. I know little about him. I understand he is a very good skating, bottom 6 energy type player for line 4.

Real suprise for me, just from stats watching he doesnt looked much special in the AHL so far, but he must have other advantages then to be called. He even played tonight and made his debut in NHL. Nice suprise.

On the more depressing note. Jiricek didnt play last game, healthy scratch I guess.

It would appear our Czech surprises this year are Zohorna, Rousek and Pavel.

I get why they are in their lineups.. bottom 6 support but it's funny that Jenik, Blumel and Smejkal are in the AHL as I'd consider them better players.lol Tweeners!

I really dont know that the hell happened with Smejkal and Ottawa. He seemed to be doing really good in the preseason and then bam and AHL start. He maybe feels the same way since he is unhappy and want to return to europe. I have already seen some rumour on EP that he may return to Oskarhamm. Its a bummer, but if the guy just dont feel it its better then to be miserable in AHL.

But yeah at least some nice suprises this season. Hopefully Blumel and Klapka gets a feel too. And of course Kulich, but as it was said many time, that needs to happen only after WJC lol

Now we need last thing and that is Palat, Kubalik and Vrana finally get their heads out of their asses and start to play and produce points which players of their caliber should have lol. Those three are giving me complete headaches every morning I dont see them on the scoresheet for their teams lol.

Seems like online fans loved smejkal.. I read it was a cap thing or poor management thing.

I know he won't win the Hart but he could be a damn good bottom 6 player for a few years.

While I don't mind him going to the AHL to hopefully get 2 minutes I can't help but wonder why they let him get to 10 games and then healthy scratched him and demoted him.lol They burnt a year of his contract in game 2 and then haven't played him since.lol

He was also the guy that wanted Suchanek and gave Cajan a look.

He also had 2-0 Malek in net this weekend.

He seems to have a grasp on where our best goalies are.

What I mean is that I hope we don't Mrazek, Dostal, Vejmelka vailable and he makes Will and Hrubec the starters.lol

Hamara traded.. so far, he's a big disapointment. Hope dies last and I will cheer to the end but he went from draft steal to why did you draft him at all?

Soo looking at our undrafted (U18) prospects in CHL and looks like its sadly not gonna be that hot after all. Titlbach, Kubiesa, Drancak, Kral´s brothers etc. not having sadly much impact. Expected a bit more from Titlbach, Kubiesa and even Drancak to be honest (remember an arcticle few years ago about him with Milan Gulas, who was praising him and labeling him a certain first round pick lol) Hopefully at least some of those guys will be selected somewhere in the later rounds.

But Jecho, Curran and Fibigr looking very good. Not saying first round, but somewhere between 2-4 is possible for them which is good, if we add our euro players Galvas, Jiricek, Badinka, Kos we have potentialy 7 guys which can be selected in the 1-4 round or top 100 maybe and thats really good.

Wonder if Jecho can make the first round in the end. He is figuring in some reports right now in the first, but I have a feeling, that he would need to produce a bit more points to make that happen. There is like 10-12 guys in the CHL alone which are more productive at his age right now and of course there is a plenty great FW going from europe too. Of course points are not everything, but there just too many guys right now "statisticaly" better then him, so he is going to have it tough to squeeze into first round imo. At least for now.

Francouz out for season... I also assume done in the NHL. Shame. Great goalie. I always felt he had starter potential. He is now the next Neuvirth.
