Yeah I really hope Blumel and Klapka get some games this season. Svozil could be doing a bit more points in my taste, but still good enough for a first proper NA senior season.

As for Jenik I have briefly seen him in the 4th line for the Coyotes for yestreday nights game. It was on Livesport (Flashscore) and they changed it before the game. So I guess he is maybe with the first team ?

Well.. he was.lol

Was looking at Pardubice today... Kaut has 12 points in 16 games as a 24 year old former first rounder. I find that very disapointing. His plan may have been to reestablish himself, going to a better Euro Leauge and work his way back to the NHL. That won't do it.lol

Spacek is disapointing really, was expecting simillar quality as from Svozil. Hopefully at least Svozil can be an NHL regular someday.
I have high hopes for Spacek! I always thought he'd take longer. I still say he makes it. But in 3 years not 2.

Defenseman reassigned to the ECHL? A very big problem for players with NHL ambitions. There are players who have done it, but they are few, really few.
Three years seems like another unrealistic dream of a czech fan. Sorry bro..

something maybe positive!

Also, Mrazek is doing really well.

Hertl is on a heater.

Zadina is back.

Rutta plays 20 minutes a night.

3 of these could be very promising (barring trades) for Prague... oh wait, Mrazek is UFA. Damn!

Rutta and Hertl would be nice.

Gudas should also be available.

So should Jiricek.

So our D core could be Gudas, Rutta, Jiricek and then the rest of Europe - Kempny, Galvas and Kral are my votes today.

Simek, Zboril and Hajek may also all be available as they toil away in the AHL. Svozil should get a longer look if his AHL team gets eliminated.

Stezka may be avilable too.. he's getting killed in the AHL.lol

Zacha appears to be hurt.

Our goalies are having a decent week. Vanecek just won. Vladar had a good game, Dostal and Mrazek battled to a 1-0 game. Overall, been a disapointing season for Czech goalies but I don't think this group is as bad as their stats.

Patera is still in the NHL. They won today and have SJ tomorrow on a back to back. Could he get a start?

Undrafted and a AHL only deal. I will concede I am not an expert on goaltending but all I've ever seen suggests he is good at it.lol

He will probably go back to Europe. He is very, very skilled with the puck, but his game without the puck has always been below average. That was why he was repeatedly benched both in the NHL and the Czech national team. I believe he can be a pretty decent player in some of the major European leagues. But for the NHL one needs to be a more complex player. High quality game without the puck is required more and more in all the teams. Even such a "freestyle" offensive player like David Pastrňák had to learn some defensive game, how to cover the neutral zone, where to skate when his teammates are fighting for the puck in the corner and so on. Vrána's main problem has been that has been too often just standing somewhere along the boards and waiting for the pass, then ready to use his speed and skill. This is the kind of a game Žigmund Pálffy, for example, was playing all his career long, but that was a different era of hockey. Even such a offensive monster like Pálffy would have to adjust his game a lot today. I assume Alexander Ovechkin is perhaps the last of those old school purely offensive forwards, basically doing the same thing over and over but being hellish good at it. But even his era seems to be over now, and younger players have to play differently, even such offensive geniuses like McDavid and Bedard. It is a pity because Vrána's individual skills are top notch, but that's simply not enough for the top of the top level.

Good bye Libor. It started so well.

Our NT now has some washed out NHL players becoming available.

Kral, galvas and Hajek.

Zboril should be available too. Simeks contract is done and he will be retired or back in Europe.

Rutta should be available. Radko too. Both under contract so here is my stab at our D in Prague:

Gudas, Rutta, Kral, galvas, Hajek, Zboril, Kempny and jiricek.

On outside looking in: masin, kubdratek, svozil, tichacek and knot.

Goalies today would have vlejmelka, dostal and vladar all under contract.

It's not too bad to be honest.

Mašín, Ticháček are looking better than Galvas and Kempný this season.

Mašin is a real head scratcher prospect for me… I watched him a few times when he was in Peterborough of the OHL. He was such a standout! Looked like a sure fire NHL’er. Dominant in every facet of the game.

Can’t believe he hasn’t made it. Absolutely blows my mind that he never even came close.
