Czechs in North America

For I believe the first time this season the Boston Bruins will have all their Czech players in the lineup at the same time.

Pastrnak, Krejci, Zacha, Nosek, Lauko and Zboril will all suit up against Carolina.

I wonder what the record for most Czech players in the lineup at the same time is

I think it's the Rangers with 8 but have nothing to prove that.lol

It's nice that B's are so good that they can rest starts and give the 'cheap Czechs' (contract wise) NHL time. I'm loving it even though the games are a bit meaningless.

That season played 71 czech players in NHL and season later 01/02 it was 77 czech players in NHL (it's record) .... oh yeah golden years for us

In those years we even had 8 players in NHL all-star game etc. (year 2000 for example - goalie Turek and Jágr, Buzek, Bonk, Hejduk, Svoboda, Ručinský, Eliáš ... with missing Hašek it would be 9)

And most czechs in one match in NHL history was 15. It was match between Penguins and Blue Jackets on 21st October 2000. Tweet is czech but you can see names there.

Last.time I was really excited about Lauko was the juniors. He got his knee wrecked early.

Today was the second time... Fans like him... Bs commentator praising him... Just scored... Looks like he might be a NHLers next year!

It's a Bruins source... but the comments suggest the coach has said a previous player was fine (Hall) and he wasn't.

Nice summary of Czechs in CHL. The results are mostly 'meh'. Some totals seemed low to me... Sapovaliv wasn't .ppg, Hamara wasn't even close, nor was Zidlicky (younger so maybe that is why). Suchanek and Sprunar may have done enough to get drafted and drafted on a second go... maybe.

He got sent back, played yesterday in the AHL (took a huge hit but bounced right back into the play) and Thompson is day-to-day still and might be a game-time decision, so Rousek was at the morning line rushes with Jost and Olofsson.

Rousek took rushes with Jost and Olofsson so if Tage is out he’s definitely playing.

Unfortunately he’d play with Olofsson so he’ll spend the whole game trying to work around that

It’s finally happening. A well earned call up that would have happened before now but the forwards just stayed healthy all year. If he played defense he would have been on the top pair half the year.
