The talent is there, no doubt. But Pasta is the overall better shooter. Vrana has a more accurate wrist shot, Pastrňák a better volley shot and is far more skilled in the area in front of the goal.I genuinely believe Vrana is the most gifted Czech goalscorer in the NHL currently. Even better than Pastrnak. Majority of his goals are filthy snipes. If only he could get his head straight, he would be a 40 goal scorer year in year out.
I wonder if he gets selected for the World Championship, he sucked last year (well aside from a few beauty goals he has sucked everytime he suited for national team) and Jalonen's defensive style of play is certainly not welcoming toward offense only forwards. But can you leave out a player of his talent?
I would really like to see him start doing well and start avoiding problems off the pitch, there is too much wasted talent from the czech players we relied on..
