Both play his style. Both guys stuck behind deepest team in the league.

Keep in mind that Lauko made the Bruins out of camp. Started opening night over Frederic (who has a chance at 20). Lauko will be 82 games next year.

Zboril is probably not an NHL player period but Lauko can definitely make it and even for the Bruins, they aren't going to have their 1-2 centers taking up a combined 3,5 mil of cap space forever. At some point, they are going to need that cheap depth and that point might be as early as next season.

I don’t see how it is not next season. They have to pay Bergeron, Krejci and Swayman their bonuses next season and with the Pasta extension and quite a few key/core guys needing to be re-signed, there will be a lot of cap casaulties next season. Lauko will have a spot there for the taking.

Zboril has a 1 way contract for next year.. they either have to trade him, send him to AHL or play him. I'm hoping it's play him but he's 26... it's not going well at all.lol

He has had one for the last 3 years, nothing is stopping Bruins from continuing to use him the same way - as a slightly overpaid 7th defenseman who only plays if someone is out of the lineup. I would go as far as saying if they don't get into a really bad cap crunch that's by far the most likely scenario.

Having said that, Zboril's salary is pretty much exactly the amount you can bury in the AHL (don't think that's a coincidence) so they probably don't mind waiving him either if it comes to that.
 
I was excited to see Zboril get an assist and go on a 2 game point streak (probably first of his career)... then I saw the assist.lol

Also, our ladies finally make the A group and we are missing our top goalie in Klara Pesilarova (mispelt)!!! What is it with constantly having our top Czechs injured when we have thin rosters!!!! Since I'm on it... Schick didn't play today either. Czechs are cursed.lol

Rousek seems to be getting recalled by Buffalo. I don't know if he'll play tomorrow but he's finally gotten the call.

Small shoes to fill - it's for Thompson.

Thanks for the heads up. 50-50 he gets in lineup or is he eating nachos with Tage tonight?
 
IF Rousek gets a game.. that would put us 39 Czechs with one game. 8 goalies and 31 skaters. I said 45 at the start of the season and that's looking wrong.lol

Only guys I can think of that may get one game are Frk, Kulich, Rousek, Knot and Galvas. 20% chances.

Don´t know what is up with Galvas, i though he looked solid in few games with Blackhawks season before, i though that he will slot right into bottom pair this year.

I don't know. Thompson got elbowed by Meier and had to leave the bench, came back for the rest of the game but couldn't/didn't take faceoffs afterward. Rousek might just wind up as the spare, though I think it would be to their benefit to actually see how he plays against the Islanders.

I also don't know why is Zohorna and Frk still in ahl, they are never going to be nhlers, i would just go to europe to boost our extraliga quality and not waste time in ahl.

There is nothing more Frk can do to get an NHL spot. I feel awful for him because he sounds like a great guy and he did everything asked of him. He should go to NLA and get paid.

Same with Zohorna.. seems liked and has a great toolbox but the Leafs won't be playing him anytime soon. He gave it his best but NLA or something like that for him too.

I welcome both to the NT with open arms.

And if it was not enough, i've heard that Tage should play tonight, so maybe Rousek is out too...

Sadly, he's out. I would've played him over Olofsson. Hell, I'd have played just about anyone over Olofsson at this point since the guy is that frustrating.
*sigh*

I want Lukas to get a look because he plays an NHL game that should at least get him PK and checking line duty.

Don't get me wrong, tremendously low bar to clear. But Kaut just scored and now has 2 goals and 1 assist in 7 games with the Sharks. That beats his old PB of 3 point in 9 games in his rookie year (in that case it was very encouraging).

On top of that he had 3 points for Col so this is the best season for him for goals, assists, games played by a country mile.

Low bar for sure but he passed it!

The worst one was Michael Spacek.. one of my all time favs.. he got called up 3 seperate times (I think) and not played once. And he's damn good! Now back in Europe. Never got a game.
 
For I believe the first time this season the Boston Bruins will have all their Czech players in the lineup at the same time.

Pastrnak, Krejci, Zacha, Nosek, Lauko and Zboril will all suit up against Carolina.

I wonder what the record for most Czech players in the lineup at the same time is 😂
