Actually, that doesn't change my analysis. A real NHL career is at least 10 years without forcing. The NHL is full of players who don't have the overall level and who are inferior to the best players playing in Europe. They are only there to plug a hole by exploiting a single skill.

I wouldn't call 10 years career "reach NHL", but that's just me.

More than 1,000 players play in the NHL during the season. Just that there are guys who never play in the NHL who are better than half of them.

Wasn't Kulich a B or C at the start of last year? CSS does a horrible job, at least with the initial lists, with Europeans in general IMO, at least once you get past the "known" names.

It's also not that bad? At least they didn't do anything stupid like make Sale a "B" or something. I like (to varying degrees) all the "S-line" boys (Spryar, Spunar, Stancl) but it's not like they are amazing or anything. They or others could still move up. Same with Dvorak who may be hampered by lack of an offensive game and is much more of a 2nd/3rd rounder at this point probably? And two of the most progressive Czech 2005 this year (Badinka and Koci) are not even eligible.

So all in all - you really think this is bad? I guess Petr not being there but he seems more hype to me at this point at least at club level. He hasn't even established himself as an U20 player in Finland yet.
I really wouldn't worry too much about it. Such a Matějíček played at HGC and it didn't occur to me that he is a level B player, quite possibly even C, even if the sample was small. On the other hand, for example, Štancl was the best player together with Šalé and he certainly has a higher potential than category C. Everything will undoubtedly be revealed in time and it is only a rough estimate..

If the goal is 700 to 800 NHL games (10 seasons) then I agree that a lot of Czechs won't make it.

Only 30 Czechs in history have played more than 800 games.

Hardly anyone plays 800 regular season games in 10 seasons and goaltenders need 15 seasons to reach that number.

Milan Gulas brought more to Czech hockey than many Czech players who played several seasons in the NHL.

Your statistics show that few Czech players have had an important role in the NHL. This is what is really important in the perspective of a performance during the Olympic tournaments.

Statistical wizard in action:laugh:
So how many were there?

Stay in your stupidity to blame me because I enlightened you on the fact that Tomas Galvas will most likely not be selected in the 1st round of the 2024 NHL draft

I just wanted to learn something new when you also have this statistically mapped:popcorn:
The only thing you taught me is that Tomas Galvas would be selected in the 1st round of the 2024 NHL draft, maybe top 10. See you in June 2024.

So you don't have any stats? I am very surprised.
Otherwise you're lying. I certainly didn't write that Galvas will definitely be in the first round, I wrote that he has the potential to be so high, at the same time I repeated several times that there is a lot of time left in the draft and no one knows how high he will really be. But I'm not surprised at your lying.
Hopefully you will fulfill your threat and give it a rest:snide:

You said : 'Potential top 10 draft pick if he continues to develop like he has been"

I just told you that it would be complicated for a player who seems to be struggling in the weak Czech U20 with a medium size.

And what do you not understand about it, or how does it contradict what I wrote??
The fact that you only judge players based on statistics is only your problem. I find it ridiculous that you even dare to deny someone's opinion when you have never seen that player play in your life. Just as many of those making provisional estimates probably didn't see him. Those who saw him saw in him the best player of the team. Be so kind and play smart at least for the moment when your judgment is not based only on statistics.
And I would really like it if you would leave me alone with your wisdom.

Chill dude, he is not going to be top 10 draft pick not at all, just sit, take a deep breath no need to have heart attack over some argument at hfboards.

You are the only one who thinks that Tomas Galvas is the best Czech U17 player.

I wrote that he was our best player in the national team matches. And I didn't just write it, other people wrote it too.. You read the discussion, but you probably have it in your genes not only to distort, but, as I wrote, to lie. I think you have a problem with tolerating a different opinion dear sir.
Keep calm, there's a big tournament in a few days, then you'll have to make fun of me here, how you estimated the player's potential from the couch.

Nice accusatory inversion. It's been at least 3 times that you provoke me on hfboards and I only respond to you. The current topic demonstrates very well who is initiating hostilities.

At least 3X? So you are lying again, I am debating with you for the second time and I regret it for the second time, I really do. Apparently lying is your normal activity.
Are you Slovak? That probably explains a lot, e.g. the statistics of Czech players that you were flaunting here, but he was unable to provide.

Update: DROP IT. Anything before this line is grandfathered in, so stop reporting posts or picking at scabs.

There will not be a third warning.

Not good for the Czech prospects

A - Sale and Hrabal
B - Dvorak and Martin Matejcik (no idea who this is)
C - everyone else.lol Sprnyar, Spunar, Stancl

Didn't see Zidlicky at all. Could be me though.

Realistically, only Dominik Petr got 'snubbed', still comfortably a B level prospect in my eyes, despite underwhelming Hlinka and the injury. And Zidlicky of course, how he didn't make the cut is hard to fathom, considering what literally random players with zero NHL upside got in.

Don't know what they see in Matejicek, not a big fan, but probably worth another look if they thought he is a B level player. Also, have to admit, some of the Czech players on the list I have never even heard of, and I like to think I have solid general knowledge on Czech hockey youth.

Koci is eligible, he got the 'C' rank. And in no way ranks among the "most progressive" players as far as the Czech 2005 group goes.
You are the only one who thinks that Tomas Galvas is the best Czech U17 player.
He is not the only one.
