They aren't going the Sony route with de-listing the game, but for those who may be thinking of getting a refund still.
The biggest mistake they made is that they purposefully mislead reviewers by only giving them the PC version and implying it was representative of how it played on all systems. That's where CDPR went from a company that made a bad product, to one that purposefully deceived the public. Pretty unethical.Glad I bought this for PC. I don't think I remember a game being so vastly superior on it compared to the console port. Not even trying to master race anything, it's legit a good game on PC. Yea there's some technical problems here and there, but nothing even close to last gen consoles. They really should've delayed it for those consoles and just released the PC version and the improved current gen patch versions.
So does that teal actually look white once you’re in game?

They basically had 2 options that they could have gone with, that would piss people off, but wouldn't destroy the reputation of the company. First, they could have just said due to the pandemic (a completely unforeseen event for a game developer) that we can't get this product out in time in a completed state. The second option is to just acknowledge that this game can't work for the current-gen of systems, and scrap them, and wait to release until X Box Series X and PS5 have a solid user-base in a 6-months year. Instead, they took the option of misleading reviewers who help guide people who buy games at launch, and wouldn't scrap the PS4 and X-Box One product because they represented too much of the customer base (I believe they still represent about 70% of game sales). Finally, they then put Sony and Microsoft in a bind by implying refunds should be gettable without coming up with a plan with their 2 biggest distributors. I honestly wonder if Sony is going to sue them for the costs they are going to have to eat refunding the game and the fees to do that with credit card merchants.
Curious if they can recover, or have to close shop sometime down the road.
The base console performance is bad, but the ps4 pro and xbox one x isn't... what is the percentage of those trying to play it on the base console vs the pro and one x?59% of Cyberpunk preorders were on the PC. The game was also literally the biggest PC game launch of all time. Suggesting CD Projekt will have to shut down is pretty ridiculous.

You'd be cutting a huge chunk of potential revenue going that route. Considering the idea that investing in a new system is a venture that creeps into $1000s, your larger market is likely on the older console.I wonder if this is going to change any other game developers minds about releasing games on old AND new gen consoles going forward. Halo: Infinite is the first one to come to mind. Maybe it's a mistake to cater these games to older hardware at this point and spreads resources too thin.

How much better off is CDPR right now if Cyberpunk 2077 was a PC exclusive in 2020 and came to next-gen (or now current gen) consoles in 2021? How much more time do they have to polish the game?
