Also, Bob Wischusen kind of sucks. There were several close chances tonight that he oddly didn't even seem to acknowledge. He doesn't seem to have much chemistry with Boucher, either.

It's disappointing, because while I have probably like 5 good Jets memories in the last 15 years, all of the calls in my head are by Wischusen.

I'm kind of surprised ESPN didn't wind up with Kenny, Forslund or even Brendan Burke.

Although they are about give Aikman the bag for MNF, and then pay Al Michaels or Joe Buck it seems, so probably just easier to go with people already on their payroll for PBP for NHL.

Big bellymen in tall office of rangers now let lafresgue free prove out he lift up the goals for the top chains. Drurygallant hope he sway the hearts of courageous others set example for Panarin and Stroom. They are weak now need to watch lafresgue show them way to playoffs. 1OA but never believe his skates no good they say. Drurygallant scared to make chains of lafresgu with top players. Even Kakko now watching he hope to not sad anymore that lafresgu better. Kakko eat and eat in sadness get mad he injured in the homeostasis. But still no powerplay for lafresgue like not trust him for big minites because stupid Stroom still big playboy for the managemint.

I was texting with a buddy after the game & we both remarked just how easy Igor makes it look. And this is just his first full season.

Controls the flow of the game like nothing I’ve seen before. He’s like a 3rd defenseman handling the puck and his hockey IQ is off the charts. He always knows when he needs to make a big save or cover up and get a faceoff when the team is scrambling. I pray at the altar of Hank, but it’s f he’s God, Igor is Jesus. GOODNIGHT!

Brodeur-esk.

Igor’s official numbers after tonight:

1.98 GAA .940SV%

Having a historical season. And he’s cool as a cucumber, as far as goalies go. Most emotion we’ve seen out of him was getting pulled for concussion spotting.

And this is with Miller reaching for everything, Nemeth being incompetant, and now having 2 rookie Dmen as our 3rd pair. Remarkable when you consider it.

Blasphemy warning: He’s already better than the King. Scary.

This team played with big swinging D*cks tonight.
Offseason acquisitions by our GM ( who sucks apparently) are going to pay dividends down the stretch.
Happy Laffy had a good game...
Morgan Barron showed why he should have be playing the last 10 games +....
Shesty is a savage
Kreids was a beast
Miller/trouba solid.
Now go get me Lehkonen or Copp

Wilson is a coward, where was all his bravado and flexing at tonight? Reaves roughed up Hagelin, ran over ovie, Panarin jumped on someones back again, in front of him and nothing. I never even seen him throw a hit, what a coward
That guy looked like he’s medicated, frankly.

Jones takes a hit and Schneider is right there to back it up after the play

Barron took no shit either, but is a competent player to boot, not some goon callup

It is either being taught the same way in the AHL, or the team/coach let them know how this team conducts itself once they make it to the big club, or both; but the culture change is so completely night and day from so many of the past years

Maybe it is Drury and his experience, maybe it is Gallant, maybe it is Goodrow, or Reaves, or all of it. But it is there. Also great for any kid to get used to this mindset.

20 years old and already playing big boy hockey. and for all the crap we talk about Laf not producting he has been playing with that same level of maturity.

I know super small sample size but I think you can just tell Barron is more willing/Able to play big boy hockey vs Chytil who i am not sure can. Obviously Chytil has more skill and the size but just never feel confident he will use it consistently. Would be great if he can figure it out down the stretch with the return of Kakko and give us a decent third line
I have given up hope on Chytil being able to play big boy hockey, he doesn’t seem to have the stones to go into the hard areas or drive to the net and most night can’t hit the ocean from a boat. My choice would be to trade Chytil and put Barron in that spot. You could be right on the skill level , but it is a small sampling of games with the two. So at this moment I have to give Barron the edge

Wish I had tickets to this one. Electric atmosphere.

Say what you want about the Caps coming off a break and not having their legs, but the Rangers took away all of their time and space.

This was a full 60 min effort. Well, at least until
The last minute. Ugh

I thought Barron was excellent. Defensively, physically. Playing the system to a T. Threw a well timed hit after Jones got clocked. He needs to be in the lineup.

Lafreniere with another very good game. The thing I’m liking the most about him is regardless if he gets on the score sheet there is a ton of effort in his game. Diving, breaking up plays with sticks, disrupting plays on the forecheck, mixing it up with players, standing up for his teammates. He is engaged and is playing with a fire to his game. The timing is definitely coming along with his skating and hands, but there is a lot of will in his game and it’s standing out right now.

Jones made some nice escape plays but man he made about 4 or 5 really terrible turnovers. He needs to clean that up. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t see the ice next game

Goodrow on the 4th worked out didn’t it? Crazy. Maybe we shouldn’t question Gallant.

If Gauthier could only finish…

Strome was bad tonight. He was off his game and it goes without saying that those two penalties were atrocious. Lazy plays and he put himself and the puck in bad positions all night.

Good for Kreids to break the mini slump. Back on track for the 50 watch.

Mika had another very strong game in all zones.

Igor is in full control. It’s a freakin pleasure to watch.

Happy to see the Caps get whacked. Hope the Pens are next
