Although the whole team played well, I found it easy to pick my 3 stars of the game.

Laffy as expected with a goal and an assist.

Gauthier with two incredible plays and drawing another penalty.

And Morgan Barron, who should get another start after this performance.

We had a conversation after last game, about the need for more scoring from our bottom six. And I mentioned, with all the time they spend in the O-zone, that is just as productive. And that when playoffs come around, they will chip in more often, as most playoff teams do with their bottom six.

You could see from the get go tonight, that this game had a playoff type atmosphere, and our bottom six came through bigtime.

It's Bob Wichusen. He used to be on WFAN and gave sports updates at 20 and 40 minutes past the hour.

Wischusen is a hidden gem announcing jets games but he needs better color commentators when he’s doing hockey

Laf, Miller, Igor, Reaves, Zib and Kreider were the standouts.

Schneider had a very strong game.

And Barron is a much more ideal bottom 6 center than Chytil. Barron's game is so much more suited for it. Chytil should play on Barron's wing. In fact, Barron, Goodrow and Chytil would be pretty strong.

The 3rd line looked better tonight with Barron than it has in weeks with Chytil, I think there’s a legit chance he gets moved

Watched tonight’s game and was sickened when the linesman jumped in and grabbed Lindgren, that’s how guys get hurt. Is there some new mandate on fighting? Just let them go...ffs

He's such an elite talent. You can tell he is in the other teams heads. He is also like another Dman back there with his puck handling.

I’ll repeat what I said in the game thread…

If Drury was watching the same game I was, there is no doubt, no doubt whatsoever that he will be adding to this team.

It's painfully obvious that he should and will add to the team this year. There will be a lot of complaining when he does by all the people who don't think the Rangers can win a playoff series, but we're not far off from 1st place in the conference. You can't just ignore the opportunity we have this year.

Great win. Love beating up on the craps.

First line was great, Caps didn't have an answer for them.

2nd line, meh. Strome was a joke, Panarin was a turnover machine and I thought Hunt was the best player, or at least had the best effort out of the 3. STill think he's out of place up on that line.

3rd line was a very pleasant suprise. Goat made some nice plays and they put some good pressure on the caps.

4th line did exactly what they needed to do. And that 4th goal by Goodrow was a beauty.

D overall played really well. A few bad reads by Lindgren and Fox wasn't as sharp as usual, but holding the caps to 1 goal is a good nights work.

Hopefully we see more Baron going forward, really like the kids game.

Who came in to stick up for Jones after he was crushed at center ice? Was it Schneider or Barron? I thought it was Schneider.

Schneider. Would’ve been a fight with Oshie if the reds didn’t blow the play dead. Oshie loves to have the refs protect him from rookies. Ran from Barron last year and waited for the officials to protect him from Laf & Schneider at different points tonight. Mr. Softee

I know super small sample size but I think you can just tell Barron is more willing/Able to play big boy hockey vs Chytil who i am not sure can. Obviously Chytil has more skill and the size but just never feel confident he will use it consistently. Would be great if he can figure it out down the stretch with the return of Kakko and give us a decent third line

I thought that Barron and Gauthier played well together. If Chytil is back, I wouldn't mind trying those three together but with Barron at center.

I would move Hunt to the third line and put Chytil up on the second line. Give Barron a stretch at 3c and if GG can trust him than either Chytil or Kakko can move to RW on third when Kakko is ready.
