Who is Robertson pushing out of the lineup? Fox? Lindgren? Miller? Trouba? Jones? Schneider?

Clearly not immediately but maybe longer term Lindgren and Trouba are priced out of our budget. I doubt Lundkvist and Robertson are hanging out until then though

Who knows. I’d say he would probably obviously start on 3rd pair.
A lot is going to depend on Lindgren and millers new deals or if they trade Jones perhaps in a deal....
My guess he comes up for an injury to someone and looks too good to go back down.
but that’s down the road a ways next season....
By the end of next season, they could aggressively try to move trouba and his cap hit if they feel schneider is ready for a bigger role as well...

will all be together for 2-3 more years...

I can say for sure Fox and Schneider will likely be here for 3 years plus, I don’t think you can say that about anyone else.... obviously they won’t move everyone, be def 1-2 guys with trouba likely being 1 of the in the next year to year and a half imo

When healthy he is a 4th line extra....not his fault when he plays up....I'm sure the same thing happens on many clubs that are rebuilding . It's part of the process . So far I don't think he has cost us too many games . That's why I advocate for retaining Gauthier ...he can play if needed almost anywhere through the 4 lines and not be a detriment to the club....at times during the season and playoffs his size and speed will be blessing for a million a season . Nobody should quibble over that . If Kreider gets hurt he is basically a plug and play . We will need million dollar guys moving forward and for what he offers....he fills that need and will know the system . I hope they let him and Barron continue playing together .

That's all real nice but if Gauthier is on the first or second line based on his performance, to date, the Rangers are in trouble.

Gauthier might turn out to be one of those that translates into a good playoff player but that's an unknown, at best.

Dont see how Gautier only got 6 votes. Yes, there were other "good choices", but one wound think there would be MORE support for the kid who played an outstanding game.

NHL officiating is the worst.

In our games at least, late hits have gone uncalled for the most part, as well as some interference as well. Trips are hit or miss for being called. But hooks and holding always get called lol

The post I replied to said he comes up next year and can’t be sent down. So who does he replace? Fox, Schneider, Miller and most likely Jones are here for a long time. Trouba can’t be moved for at least two years yet and doubtful they mess with Lindgren-Fox.

Agreed. Lehkonen or Copp would be good adds at a reasonable price and with Kakko eventually coming back the forward group would be just fine.

I'm not sure what to do with Chytil or Gauthier.

If Kakko is healthy and we’ve acquired a winger like Copp or Lehkonen for the third line, would put Chytil on the other wing. Then move Goodrow or Barron to the 4th line and have Hunt and Gauthier as the 13th and 14th forwards respectively, which is what they probably should be on a good team.

Realistically that fourth line probably plays a little more than the third under Gallant, but that should be four affective lines

Firstly that was not an example of taking it personally. You can see lots of examples of ppl taking shit personally all over this site, that wasn’t one.

Posts and missed open nets only count when you outshoot the opponent? And wasn’t our xGF higher than there’s, so does that mean their missed open nets don’t count as much now?

I personally believe even when we have a less than stellar game, the near misses count as much as when we have an amazing game, that’s all. Same for our opponents. But I get the focus on overall 5 on 5 play as well.
