Is Reavo epileptic? Did he forget to take his meds? LOL

What the hell was that? That must have been his happy dance.

I really liked what I saw from Miller. He was very calm and effective. At one point he wasn’t skating around the Caps keeping the puck while they tried to round him up. His head was up the whole time making sure the rest of his matters could get a line change. It wasn’t a great scoring or defensive play but very heady and strong and controlling.

.In two years time, I think K'Andre will be a beast. Foxy matured more quickly and is two years older. Key needs a little more time to grow into his frame. With his size, speed, reach and athleticism, he is gonna be a beast.

They're predicting Chara on steroids.

He was a wide receiver and cornerback playing football.

Can someone Photoshop this? Make it Reaverdance 75. Put his face on Michael Flatley. He hasn’t had many dance partners this season though :)

Although the whole team played well, I found it easy to pick my 3 stars of the game.

Laffy as expected with a goal and an assist.

Gauthier with two incredible plays and drawing another penalty.

And Morgan Barron, who should get another start after this performance.

We had a conversation after last game, about the need for more scoring from our bottom six. And I mentioned, with all the time they spend in the O-zone, that is just as productive. And that when playoffs come around, they will chip in more often, as most playoff teams do with their bottom six.

You could see from the get go tonight, that this game had a playoff type atmosphere, and our bottom six came through bigtime.

Gauthier had a better game than Zib?

So found a nice little place on 29th and 8th Ave. called The Haymaker. Excellent beer on draft had a DIPA and imperial Stout and both were very smooth, and food was very good. Not a lot to choose from but sometimes that’s a good thing.

I think they are hoping that miller-Schneider become a monster 2nd pair together... a real problem for teams to handle.

I also think Lindgren-Fox is going to be a pair together for a very long time, unless Lindgren gets crazy on his next Contract demands......
It’s going to take a lot for someone to come and unseat his position next to Fox given their history, and the way they play together.

both Jones/Robertson are going to be in the mix next season for that 3rd D spot....
Jones should fully get the starting role, but I won’t be surprised at some point If Robertson gets an injury call up somewhere in the middle of next year and plays too good to be sent back down.

Or a couple hundred.
When healthy he is a 4th line extra....not his fault when he plays up....I'm sure the same thing happens on many clubs that are rebuilding . It's part of the process . So far I don't think he has cost us too many games . That's why I advocate for retaining Gauthier ...he can play if needed almost anywhere through the 4 lines and not be a detriment to the club....at times during the season and playoffs his size and speed will be blessing for a million a season . Nobody should quibble over that . If Kreider gets hurt he is basically a plug and play . We will need million dollar guys moving forward and for what he offers....he fills that need and will know the system . I hope they let him and Barron continue playing together .

I never saw the appeal in envisoning or predicting what our team would look like in the future. There are just too many variables in play to come up with anything very probable.

I like to concentrate on the season at hand. I mean who knows if Miller is even here in two years. but there is no doubt he has a big future in store.

What I ponder about, is what the TDL will do to this team. They are doing so well, I would hate to see any disruptions in team chemistry and such. But I said same thing in '94. They were in first place and traded away Mike Gartner and Tony Amonte at the deadline. And I can tell you, no one was happy about that, but it worked out. Just hope Drury, doesn't rock the boat too much. Cause we will never know if we could have won the Cup with Gartner and Amonte. It coulda been Gartner, Gartner, Gartner instead of Matteau, Matteau, Matteau.

Keenan traded them away, cause he was a bit of a nut and didn't get along with everyone, including those two. Whereas Gallant is the exact opposite and gets along with everyone.

Different times...
Having a cap in place at least makes you plan for the year ahead at a minimum, sometimes 2 if they’re smart.
Back then spend spend spend to get who/what you need no matter the cost.

Schneider being able to take over for trouba is another year away imo.
I too am curious about how we proceed this TDL. I think Drury will be smart. Add a Lehkonen/Copp and keep our 1st/Lundkvist to make a big deal to replace strome in offseason/at draft.
Like others have said, I wouldn’t expect a bunch of roster turnover/ messing with the team/lockeroom chemistry going into the postseason.
At most we add 1-2 players tops imo

I sure hope you're right. It's hard not to like most of the players on this team and it would hurt to see some leave.

Of course if we got Cane or Giroux that could go a long way in easing that pain. LOL

Agreed. Lehkonen or Copp would be good adds at a reasonable price and with Kakko eventually coming back the forward group would be just fine.

Kreider-Mika-Laf
Panarin-Strome-Kakko
Lehkonen/Copp-Barron-Goodrow
Hunt-Rooney-Reaves

I'm not sure what to do with Chytil or Gauthier.
